When it came to the last night in Venice, I knew exactly what I wanted. I wanted great Italian food without anything too over-the-top. This is exactly what I got at the Bacaromi restaurant at the Hilton in Venice!
Dreams really do come true folks! First, we started off with some Prosecco, to warm up. Shortly after, we were brought over a tray of deliciousness, which was so huge it easily could have been a meal for two. It had everything you could possibly want from octopus to meatballs to salmon to salami to peppers to oh my God! If you want to get Pierre excited, feed him this!
For the second starter, we went with tortellini which had meat and mushroom sauce. It was perfection. This is exactly what I had in mind for my last meal in Venice. We also accompanied this amazing food with a bottle of red wine which was a Fumanelli Valpolicella Classico Superiore. They matched wonderfully.
For the mains, we went with pork cheek and pasta with duck sauce. Both were great and very heart warming dishes, however nothing too wild. The tortellini was actually my favorite dish of the entire meal.
When it came to dessert, I went with the carrot cake and a classic tiramisu. The carrot cake was chosen clearly for it’s health benefits. Wink. At the end a nice cup of espresso and then it was finito.
The entire meal at the Bacaromi restaurant was very satisfying. All the food was very heartwarming and delicious. It’s exactly what I wanted, something more traditional, nothing too fancy or crazy. We were able to enjoy the beautiful view with our meal as well. I would highly recommend you to try the Bacaromi restaurant at the Hilton hotel in Venice Italy!
