On my most recent trip to Vienna, Austria, I decided to pop-over to Slovakia and visit Bratislava. It only took a short one hour drive and I was there. The city is not so large, so it is very easy to get around. They have convenient tram system but most of the time it was just as easy to walk. While in Bratislava, I stayed at the Danubia Gate hotel. It’s only a few minutes walk from the square in the city center.

In the middle of the afternoon I checked in and went up to my room on the fifth floor. I was actually really impressed because the room was very large and had many interesting features.

The first thing you’ll notice, is that the room has a very large bathtub. I used it to relax for one of my two nights there. Life is hard. Wink. This one room had a total of three televisions. I didn’t watch any of them, but if you’re into TV, this is the place to be. There’s also a large desk which I utilized to get my work done, which was perfect.

I was super happy with the breakfast. A modest selection but everything tasted very good. Another thing to point out is the staff in the breakfast area were very accommodating to the guests. There is a gym on the ground floor connected to the lobby. It has enough equipment to get your workout in, but not a great setup seeing that you have to walk through the lobby to get there.
