When Pierre walked into Galvin at Windows at the top of the Hilton Park Lane he felt that he had arrived home. This is the element that Pierre is accustomed to. White tablecloths, well-dressed people and delicious food. I was filled with delight. Out of the entire Hilton experience, the dinner at Galvin at Windows had to be the most memorable. Don’t forget to read about the rest of the experience in this article. We arrived at our reservation time of 8pm and were seated with a beautiful view of London.
For the starters we went with an Umami bouillon and salmon. Both were quite nice and presented well. If they were challengers I would have to vote for mine which was the Umami bouillon. These both paired quite nicely with their respective white wines including a Clos du Tue-Bœuf Cheverny and a William Fevre Chablis.
The next course happened to be the entrées. We went with an order of venison and beef wellington. Both had very traditional tastes which were very nice! The taste transported me to another time! Pierre was in love!
For dessert we went with an apple tart and a valrhona chocolate sphere. Photos wouldn’t do this sphere justice so I had to take a video. Taste is always important but I really appreciate the great presentation. The desserts were also fantastic and of course Pierre had to enjoy a coffee to finish off the evening. Bonus: They gave us homemade marshmallows!
Even though the restaurant was incredibly busy I felt like we never had to wait very long for service. We were treated well and enjoyed the humor and warmth of the staff. I see why Galvin at Windows received a Michelin star and I definitely believe it is a very solid choice for a wonderful dinner in London. They really have a lot to offer and I was surprised at the style and great quality of the food! I feel like this would be a perfect venue for a special occasion or any occasion really. Wink. Therefore, you must go to Galvin at Windows at the Hilton on Park Lane in London!
