By far, the best hotel I’ve stayed at while in Zagreb was Hotel International. This hotel is just south of the train and bus station which is convenient when arriving or departing from the city. It’s not right in the thick of downtown but still conveniently located.
The check-in process was smooth and I was up to my room on the 10th floor to checkout my room. It was very spacious! There was a very nice bed with wooden headboard, it felt very modern. It was also nice that there was a sofa and comfortable chair to relax. Being on the 10th floor, I also was lucky enough to get a very nice view of the city and beyond.
Every day that I was at Hotel International Zagreb, I was using their gym. It was definitely an upgrade from what I had been using in the last few hotels. There wasn’t tons of equipment but a very solid amount to get a full workout in. They also offered a sauna which is always a plus in Pierre’s book.
The breakfast was also quite nice. They had a large selection of food and a comfortable dining room.
As per usual, I spent a lot of time working in the room and was so pleased to see a tea kettle which also can be used to make coffee. Seriously, not having coffee in the room at the previous hotel was a huge disappointment, but here it made my day.
All in all, the Hotel International in Zagreb was fantastic. It’s not a luxury hotel per se but overall did have a very solid offering. If you’re looking for a nice hotel then I would highly recommend you visit the Hotel International in Zagreb, Croatia!
