I was halfway through my time in Belgrade, Serbia and I checked-in to the Townhouse 27 hotel in the city center. Literally, this hotel is right in the center of the action. It is quite possibly the perfect location to explore the rest of what Belgrade has to offer. Just a few blocks up and you’re on the main walking street. Yes, normally when you check-in at a hotel, the staff is kind. However, checking in at the Townhouse 27 hotel I felt like I was instantly part of a new family. They were so kind, they offered me some coffee or tea and even some local Serbian food. How could I resist?
After some mingling with my new-found Townhouse 27 family, I went to check out my room. I was quite honestly very impressed with my room. The styling was very modern and visually appealing. It was very spacious and had a nice street view too. However, I was not a fan of the bright orange accents. If they removed those, it would be perfect. Wink.
Belgrade is not huge but it does have some decent features and pretty sites to see. I spent a few days just wondering around the city and discovering new bits and pieces.
For all that exploring, I had to prepare, so I got some great nutrition at the hotel’s breakfast. Seriously, for a hotel this size, they offer a very extensive breakfast. It was actually more impressive than some larger hotels that I’ve stayed at in the past. There was tons of food and everything was quite tasty. It may not sound like the most glamorous thing, but I love the sausages that they serve in Eastern European countries for breakfast. Everyday, they also offered something creative in the form of a special dish such as a special breakfast sandwich. The food was very satisfying. Good work!
The Townhouse 27 hotel is conveniently located in the center of the city and this is also near the bus and train station. When it was time for Pierre to pack up and go on to Croatia, it was easy to walk down to the train station which is only about a 15 minute walk away. I was slightly dumbfounded that there was no on-site gym, but apparently guests do have access to one nearby. Sadly, I didn’t have enough time or energy to use it while I was there. Sad face.
When it was all said and done, my time at the Townhouse 27 hotel in Belgrade was fantastic! All of the staff was so helpful and friendly, it was very delightful. I was also so impressed by the food and the location, just fantastic. If I ever return to Belgrade, I would definitely return to the Townhouse 27 hotel and recommend that you do the same!
