Liu Restaurant Review: Delicious Chinese Food in Bangkok

Last updated on September 24th, 2025

While staying at the Conrad Hotel in Bangkok, I had a chance to try their Liu Chinese restaurant! First of all, the decor and the feel of the restaurant was very beautiful in red and black. I was led to a private dining room to sample a tasting menu of some of the Liu’s best dishes. Obviously, I was excited! Read about my Conrad Bangkok experience here.

The meal started with several smaller items including xiao long bao, steamed shrimp dumpling with squid paste, steamed minced shrimp and scallop dumplings, and a baked duck pie with mushrooms. These were a fantastic way to start the meal! My favorite was the baked duck pie.

An item that really stood out was the crispy pork belly. This was the perfect amount of fat and crispiness you’d expect from perfectly cooked pork belly.

Deep-fried Japanese pork was another one of my favorite items of the meal with great texture, and bursting with flavor. Actually, this was my favorite! A must order indeed.

To finish off the meal was a chilled fresh mango pudding, just lovely.

The service at Liu Chinese Restaurant in Bangkok was superb. Everything from the decor to the food was incredible too and I can’t wait to go again! Without a doubt I can easily recommend you to visit Liu Chinese Restaurant at the Conrad Hotel Bangkok, Thailand!
