On my recent trip to Thailand, I visited Phuket. I had the opportunity to experience a few very different but amazing properties. The most recent was the Banyan Tree Tea Sanctuary. This property was the most traditionally Thai out of the bunch. It’s actually several resorts combined into one on a large property. This is great because they have so many facilities including a golf course, loads of swimming pools, multiple restaurants, tennis courts, a spa, a private beach, a gym and more!

For our trip, we arrived in the evening. It was completely dark so we had to wait until the next morning to get some photos and explore the grounds. We were driven to our private villa which offered unlimited massage and the ability to have room service for breakfast. Seriously, the villa was amazing! We had our own private pool, jacuzzi, private steam shower and much more.
Three walls of the bedroom were windows looking out to a beautiful pond that surrounded that side of the villa. The villa also features a large living room equipped with a complementary minibar. Splendid.
I don’t think my words do this property justice. Look at these photos and just admire the beauty! This property almost has too much to talk about, very impressed.
Our journey really began at breakfast. For the first day, we decided to have it in the main restaurant. It was quite a large selection of food. The location and view were gorgeous. The only issue was the fact that there were so many guests. This proves that the property is doing well. However, this also encouraged us to take advantage of the room service the following day. Wink.
After we finished the tasty breakfast, we headed back to our villa. It was only a few hours later and it was time for afternoon tea. This was the first time that I’ve had a complete afternoon tea set delivered by room service. Overall, this was fantastic and added so much to the personalized service.
Our villa included unlimited massage. This means that we could order as many massage treatments as we wanted. Each time we ordered, our private masseuses would visit the villa and give the massages by the pool. I don’t think I ever need to leave!
I also had access to an extraordinary golf course. After the relaxing massage I headed over to brush up my golf game. I didn’t plan for a round of golf, but enjoyed the wonderful driving range.
After realizing that I could easily become a pro golfer, it was back to the villa to clean up and prepare for dinner at their Saffron restaurant. The location is actually just above where the breakfast was. At nighttime this really becomes a magical setting. They have live traditional Thai music being played and an authentic Thai food menu. It all goes together quite nicely. Wink.
As you all know, I’ve lived in Thailand for three years so I know Thai food well. I’m the professional here. The food was extraordinary. We started with some grilled squid which was accompanied with a Thai seafood sauce. From the first few bites I knew the rest of the meal would be fantastic! Two thumbs up.
Later we moved onto several more dishes including morning glory, crab fried rice, a beautiful steak as well as some large prawns. A feast fit for royalty! Of course at the end, we had to finish it off with some crème brûlée. I enjoyed every bite of this meal.
At this point, it was back to the villa via their buggy service which brings you anywhere you want to go and typically arrives within five minutes. A nice relaxing jacuzzi session and swim later and it was time for my handsome sleep. What a day!
The next day we woke up early to play tennis. Another sport which I excel at. Wink. I might be joking. Wink again. Once we finished, it’s back to the villa to receive the room service. I had the gentleman set it up by the pool and it was picture perfect. They even brought the spicy fish sauce that I absolutely love. A perfect breakfast indeed.
I spent two nights perfect nights at the Banyan Tree in Phuket. Just a few hours after breakfast and it was off to the airport via their wonderful transfer service. The weather was perfect throughout the stay and then when we were leaving there was a torrential downpour of rain. Luckily this was no problem because we are already in the car.
When it was all said and done, the Banyan Tree Tea Sanctuary in Phuket, Thailand is a magical place which provides an amazing experience. Honestly, this was one of my favorite resorts of all time. The facilities, service and villas were quite superior to others in the past. The personalized service and attention to detail really made for a flawless experience. They set it up in a way where you will never have to leave your villa, if you don’t want to. You’ll be pampered and waited on hand and foot. I would not hesitate for a second to recommend you to stay here. Next time you visit Thailand, you must visit the Banyan Tree Tea Sanctuary in Phuket!
