When you think of Thai culture, many things may come to mind, including massage. While staying at VIE Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand (which you can read about here) I had the pleasure of visiting their VIE Spa. The property is located right next to BTS Ratchathewi which is only one stop from Siam. The spa is located on the 10th floor, just across from the fitness center. When we arrived for our treatment, we were greeted with a smile and served a welcome drink. The waiting area was darker in design and prepared us for relaxation.
The treatment we went with was an Aroma Massage. I tend to stick to harder pressure massages, to help loosen up my incredibly shoulders, which are hard like boulders. We were guided into the treatment room which definitely had a pleasant design which matched our mood.
I was impressed by my middle-aged therapist, who quickly climbed up on top of the massage table to apply lots of pressure to my back which ultimately left me feeling loose as a goose. 60 minutes flew by and the treatment had come to a close, sadly.
We were then led out to a relaxation room where we enjoyed a cup of tea, dried fruit and cookies. I had a lovely time at the VIE Hotel and part of the reason was this amazing massage! If you’re in Bangkok and looking for a spa, look no further than the VIE Spa.
