I was super excited because I had finally reached South America for the first time! The first country I visited was Colombia, and the first few nights were at the Wyndham Bogota Hotel. I didn’t come from very far, but I was exhausted after a delayed flight and was happy to have an airport transfer provided by the hotel. The hotel also has a complimentary shuttle included, but I went for the private variety. The Wyndham Bogota is just 15 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from the city center without traffic. You can’t get much more convenient than this!

Upon an effortless check-in with the lovely receptionist Alexandra, it was up to the fifth floor to see my room. The room was incredibly spacious. There was a bright interior design with colored accents throughout, large sofa, working desk, coffee machine, and a beautiful view of the residential area near the hotel. I was happy with the comfortable bedding which gave me a great sleep for each of my nights.
The bathroom was fairly modern with a minimal design. Inside there was a single sink vanity and shower stall. It was fairly bare-bones but had everything I needed during my stay.
The Wyndham Bogota Hotel has breakfast on the lobby level as well as in their Executive Lounge on the ninth floor. As you’d expect, the main breakfast is a bit more extensive but the club lounge offers a more intimate and private venue which I prefer personally. The view from the lounge was also a lovely feature!
In the evenings, the Executive Lounge also offers some drinks and snacks to guests staying on the executive floor. I enjoyed the offering which had a decent variety of alcoholic drinks as well as food!
The Wyndham Bogota Hotel is actually part of a complex that has several restaurants, a gym, and another hotel. The gym is open to the public and also to the hotel guests. The gym is massive and stays fairly busy at all times of day. The gym has all of the modern equipment you will ever need, as well as a pool!
Throughout my stay, I got to try several dinners at the property, whether it was a private meal in the club lounge or in their restaurant on the lobby level. The main variety of food offered is Mediterranean. However, I was able to enjoy some customized Colombian meals made just for me. The Colombian food I ate was provided by the experienced senior chef who really knew what he was doing! Whether it was the shrimp ceviche, the Colombian chicken soup known as Ajiaco, or something more simple like the plantain chips, all made my heart melt and made me excited to try more Colombian food!
In conclusion, my state overall at the Wyndham Bogota Art Hotel was very smooth and comfortable. The location is incredibly convenient, the service is attentive, and the property is well equipped. If you’re looking for a convenient business hotel near both the city and the airport, look no further than the Wyndham Art Bogota Hotel.
