It was my first time visiting Bengaluru, India, and I first checked in at the Courtyard by Marriott Bengaluru Outer Ring Road Hotel. It’s quite the journey from the airport, but once I stepped into the lobby, I immediately felt a familiarity with the property. Marriott is one of the most consistent hotel brands, and I suppose that is what I can credit this comfortable feeling to. The property is located about 30 minutes drive from the center of Bengaluru. Immediately surrounding the property you will find lots of technology companies, that is why it would be very convenient to stay at the Courtyard if you have business in the area.

For my stay I had a spacious suite on the six floor. The suite’s large living room featured comfortable seating, a desk with office chair, coffee station, all with a city view. I’d like to take note of the coffee machine because it is a real espresso maker, instead of a capsule machine. During my stay I enjoyed some ultra-strong coffee which helped me blaze through my work. Cheers Courtyard!
Thanks for the warm welcome gifts Courtyard by Marriott Bengaluru Outer Ring Road!
In the bedroom of this one bedroom suite, there was of course the ultra comfortable Marriott bedding which I’ve grown quite accustomed to. No matter what Marriott branded property I visit, I am always confident that I will have this lovely bedding which insures a great night of sleep!
The bathroom ran the entire length of this massive suite, much like other Marriott properties I have visited recently. The bathroom was glorious, with a bathtub, large walk-in shower, vanity, two sinks, separated toilet stall and tons of storage space. This would be a great suite for a long stay!
On the first floor of the Courtyard by Marriott Bengaluru Outer Ring Road Hotel you will find several facilities, including the Marriott Club Lounge, fitness center, outdoor pool, BG’s Restaurant and the Scent Spa. The lounge was very comfortable indeed, and a place I could find a peaceful area to work. The lounge does not offer breakfast but does offer afternoon soft drinks and an evening cocktail hour with food buffet. The evening buffet was very extensive and included an impressive amount of alcohol from several corners of the globe. The food featured was mostly Indian cuisine. The staff in the Marriott Club Lounge offered attentive service in the evening, although during the daytime it was occasionally understaffed.
In the fitness center there are seven pieces of cardio equipment, two racks of free weights and one multi-function weight machine. There is a changing room nearby which offers one shower stall, but no steam room or sauna.
There is a very large pool that is shared by both the Courtyard and the adjoining Fairfield Hotel which you can read more about here. There were lots of comfortable places to lounge and relax nearby the pool.
The BG’s Restaurant and Bar is next to the pool. I have written about the Sunday Brunch and dinner at BG’s in a separate article. I liked the Bloody Mary Bar!
During the stay at the Courtyard by Marriott in Bengaluru, I went for a massage at their Scent Spa, also on the first floor. The Scent Spa offers both international and local spa treatments, but I was after a local Indian massage known as Abyanga. It’s not an extravagant spa but it does get the job done. After my massage, I left feeling refreshed and relaxed at the same time. It was a no-frills experience but reached the desired outcome. Success!
The breakfast for the Courtyard by Marriott Bengaluru Outer Ring Road Hotel is located on the ground floor in their Momo Café. They had all the standard breakfast options, but focused mainly on Indian cuisine. Things I really liked were the fresh coconuts, equipped with paper straws, good service and Indian pickle selection. Throughout my time in Bengaluru I sampled lots of Southern Indian Cuisine and enjoyed comparing it to the food in the North. Interesting flavor changes!
Overall, I was impressed by the Courtyard by Marriott Bengaluru Outer Ring Road Hotel. In many ways, this felt like a full-fledged Marriott Hotel! I would have appreciated if their was a breakfast served in the Club Lounge, but they made up for it with the quality breakfast in their Momo Café. In the end, I enjoyed my stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Bengaluru Outer Ring Road Hotel thoroughly!
