Apparently Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam has had lots of growth in a very short time. This means lots of new and lovely hotels. Recently, I stayed at the Mgallery Des Arts hotel in district 3. This hotel is within walking distance from most major attractions in the city of Saigon which makes it very convenient.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by numerous friendly staff members. The lobby is grand and I enjoyed the refreshing welcome drink while checking in. The Mgallery collection is Sofitel’s high-end properties. This was really evident in all aspects of the hotel. Pure luxury!
First and foremost, I wanted to check out my suite on the 19th floor. The suite was incredibly grand with lots of gorgeous patterns and gold accents. The seating area near the foot of the bed was incredible. The design was cohesive throughout. The bathroom had a standalone tub and a separate shower stall, everything was marble. This suite just screamed luxury. I loved every part of it.
When you really want to enjoy a luxury hotel, you must make sure you have lounge access. The club lounge at the Des Arts hotel is located on the 22nd floor and offers great panoramic views of Saigon. All of the employees in the lounge treated me great and made sure I had my fair share of Vietnamese coffee and other delights. The lounge offers breakfast, afternoon tea, snacks as well as an evening cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres. The alcohol selection is quite extensive which will enable you to enjoy yourself fully.
The spa and gym are located on the third floor. There you’ll find a very extensive gym with tons of quality equipment and a street view. I loved the steam room which had a large window to gaze outside while I sweated out my toxins. Matching the rest of the hotel, these areas felt very luxurious with a great seating area to unwind.
Another fantastic feature of this property would have to be the Social Club restaurant and bar, which is also where you’ll find the rooftop pool. I wrote a separate article about the restaurant which you must be sure to read as well. The weather was rather windy and wet during my time in Saigon, but the pool still looked gorgeous at all times of day. The rooftop bar is one of the best in the city and the ambiance was superb.
During the turn-down service, they left a small treat on my bed. It’s the little things that make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. In the end, I absolutely loved my time at this property and can’t wait to return! The whole experience was great and I can quite confidently say that you will absolutely love your time at the Mgallery Des Arts hotel in Saigon!
