During my stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Istanbul Topkapi I found myself with a chance to enjoy a luxury spa treatment at their Rose Spa. If you want to read more about the hotel stay itself read the separate article here. I honestly had no idea what to expect for a 3-hour long that I was presented, but was excited to find out!
I quickly learned that the treatment would take place in their VIP Spa Suites. The VIP Suite had two massage tables, sauna, hot tab, Turkish Hammam, relaxation area, shower and toilet. I was starting to understand why this treatment room was anything average.
It’s worth noting that the entire spa also has an indoor pool and fitness center. Really a top-notch facility!
The treatment started off with a quick 15 minutes in the sauna to get the blood flowing. Soon after I stepped into the Turkish Hammam and had a fantastic treatment. If you’re unfamiliar, a Turkish Hammam treatment includes a body scrub, bath, as well as a massage. I left the Hammam feeling refreshed and relaxed but the treatment was truly just beginning.
Now it was time for a full-blown massage session. Once on the massage table I fell into heavenly relaxation. My therapist knew what she was doing, a true professional indeed. We continued on for about an hour massage before yet another treatment. The grand finale was a facial while still on the table. The entire experience was comfortable and enjoyable. In the past I’ve found other facials to get sort of uncomfortable, but not this one at the Rose Spa!
Upon completion of the treatment we were served fruit and drink in the relaxation area of the VIP Spa Suite.
Having multiple treatments over such a long period was a great way to spend the afternoon! The facilities were even better than I ever would’ve imagined as well as the treatment itself!
