I spent a full two weeks in Nice, along the French Riviera. My favorite part of the city would have to be the water. The strong blues are magical and put me in a very good mood immediately. I stayed all around the city and finished my trip at Le Negresco hotel. The hotel is a landmark in the city and stands out on the promenade. It’s also a part of the leading hotels of the world.

I arrived a bit too early in the morning, but was delighted when the room was finally ready! I was able to secure an upgraded sea-view room. This is how you want to spend your time in Nice! There were multiple windows which all had a great view of the water along the Promenade des Anglais.
The room featured a very large living room and large bathroom. You’ll surely take note of the golden bathtub!
The styling was classical and very luxurious. I really liked the blue colors they used throughout the room. The bed was very unique and was actually an antique which came originally from a castle!
This hotel is a lot more than simply a place to sleep. It’s practically an art museum that you can live in and experience, with art dating back 5 centuries! The owner of this privately owned hotel lives inside as well. There are many places in Le Negresco that are very impressive, including their Royal Lounge, hallways filled with art, bar and restaurants.
I was surprised to find that such a classic hotel offers a gym. The gym has quality equipment but is missing a treadmill and free weights. That being said, there are still other cardio machines including two bicycles, and an elliptical. I was able to get in a great bike ride to burn off some calories preparing for my meals at La Rotonde restaurant and their Chantecler restaurant. Be sure to follow the links to their respective articles!
Their restaurants were both incredibly special. Chantecler has 2 Michilen stars and La Rotonde has both great food and an incredibly unique dining room. La Rotonde is also where the breakfast takes place. This is one of the most colorful dining rooms that I’ve ever seen. It’s themed like a carnival and you’re sitting in the carousel. It’s clearly been around for some time, nevertheless it still has a quaintness to it. They offer a fairly extensive buffet breakfast with lots to choose from. You’re sure to find something that you can enjoy!
My time at Le Negresco hotel was a pleasant experience. The building is classic and all it has to offer is simply incredible and very memorable. Things I liked most, were the room, great food at all the restaurants. If you’re looking for a very special experience in Nice, then I recommend Le Negresco hotel!
