I’ve found myself in lots of Accor properties lately. The most recent has been the Pullman hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. There are a few Pullmans in Bangkok but this is the Pullman Grande Sukhumvit. The property is located near the Sukhumvit MRT station and the Asoke BTS station.

To get to the Pullman hotel, I was fortunate enough to use their fantastic transfer service. The staff at the Pullman will locate you at the airport and whisk you away to the hotel, making it as effortless a journey as possible. Definitely a huge plus.
Upon arrival I was informed that I could check in at the executive lounge. Once I entered, I was quickly offered a welcome drink that changed colors as you mixed the ingredients. How pretty! I then learned my room was on the 26th floor which is 2 floors above the lounge.
The first thing I noticed while entering the room was the bathtub that was the centerpiece of the design. It was encased in glass which left the room feeling very spacious. The view from the room was astonishing. Looking down you can see the Asoke intersection which is one of the most famous in the city. During the night time, this offers an even more spectacular view.It was time to explore the rest of the hotel. A feature that is very interesting is the way they used open space in a column down the middle of the building. They lost a lot of usable living space but created a very impressive design. Please don’t lean too far forward. Wink.
Not long after checking in, it was time for afternoon tea in the lounge. They had a wide assortment of snacks including sandwiches, cakes and a green tea chocolate fountain. I’m sure you weren’t expecting that last bit! This was a first for me as well and very impressive. The lounge offers afternoon tea, breakfast and of course an amazing happy hour in the evenings.
I was seriously amazed with the quality of the happy hour! The staff were very welcoming and made me a White Russian upon request.
Heading down the Pullman Grande Sukhumvit, it was time to explore the spa, fitness and pool areas. The gym was massive and had so much equipment. All was very high-quality and in a very spacious room. The pool also had a very beautiful design. There is a waterfall behind the chairs which adds to the tropical feel of the area.
On the first day, I tried breakfast in the lounge and on the second two days I had breakfast in the main restaurant. Although I appreciate the privacy in the lounge, I definitely enjoyed the variety in the restaurant. There seems to be quite a strong trend in Bangkok where they offer very extensive breakfast buffets. This buffet was quite amazing. They even had a Bloody Mary station equipped with vodka. Talk about starting the day off right. I also appreciated the different types of sushi.
The Pullman Grande Sukhumvit hotel is definitely a gem in Bangkok. The location, which is right next to the subway and sky train stations is ideal. The hotel also offers a shuttle service even though they are only about 100 meters away. How convenient can it be? I was very happy with the food overall. The service was also quite extraordinary and they were very accommodating to all of my needs. If you are interested in luxury and the boss life then it’s very easy to recommend you visit the Pullman Grande Sukhumvit hotel as soon as possible!
