I’m happy to say that I’ve finally made it to Lithuania, which is my 50th country! For my accommodation in Lithuania I stayed at the Grand Hotel Kempinski Vilnius. Vilnius is an easily walk-able city and the Grand Hotel Kempinski Vilnius is located right in the thick of the city’s Old Town. From the property’s front door, it was incredibly easy to walk and explore the entire city. Feel free to read about a very special tour I took in a separate article here.

The Grand Hotel Kempinski Vilnius’s lobby is luxurious and spacious. Everywhere I turned I saw chandeliers and comfortable seating areas. Check in was easy and I was even offered a glass of champagne for a truly warm welcome! After, it was up to the third floor to see the Deluxe Room with Balcony.
The Deluxe Rooms are between 31 and 45 square meters and the balcony really captured my attention which offer a lovely Old Town view. In the room there was a large king-size bed, lounge chair, working desk, capsule coffee machine, tea kettle, and more. The bedding was extra soft! I absolutely loved sleeping in this bed.
The bathroom had a gorgeous classic design and included a massive bathtub, separate shower stall, separate toilet stall, and single sink vanity.
Thank you Grand Hotel Kempinski Vilnius Staff for the welcome chocolate!
On the -1 floor are the spa and fitness areas. Grand Hotel Kempinski Vilnius has a pool, dry sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and small fitness center. This area had a beautiful design and offered a great way to relax. Most of the time the area was well-kept but there was one occasion during the stay where some more attention would have been great. All in all, I enjoyed the area, especially the design.
The hotel has a lovely restaurant called Telegrafas which serves fine European gastronomy. The design of the dining room was similar to the rest of the property, very luxurious and spacious and had a great view of Vilnius Cathedral Square. For the dinner, I sampled several items including French oysters, beef carpaccio, wild king salmon, Canadian lobster, carrot cake, and lemon pie. Overall, the food was beautiful and full of tasty flavor! The staff in Restaurant Telegrafas also did a great job at making sure my needs were met. I was never left to fend for myself for very long! Well done Telegrafas.
The next morning I got to also enjoy breakfast in Telegrafas which is served until 14:00! Not only is there a massive buffet, with lots of luxurious items such as several types of caviar and sparkling wine, there is also an extensive à la carte menu with many options to choose from. Whether it’s local Lithuanian style or a poke bowl, they seemed to have it all. Just like at dinner the service at the restaurant was perfect.
Grand Hotel Kempinski Vilnius is simply a lovely property. Some high points are the great location, attentive service, and very high-quality offering. It was a great introduction to Vilnius and Lithuania overall! I’d be happy to come back as soon as possible and would love to stay at Grand Hotel Kempinski Vilnius again.
