My last stay in Riga, Latvia was at the Park Inn by Radisson Residence Riga Barona. This is a brand-new hotel located just over a kilometer north of the central train station. The area surrounding the hotel is bustling with tons of people and businesses including lots of restaurants which I was excited about exploring. The Park Inn by Radisson Residence Riga Barona has several different room types including longer stay options that are more like serviced departments than simple hotel rooms.

After spending some time in the relaxed atmosphere of the lobby, I headed up to the seventh floor to see my massive 60m² One Bedroom Superior Apartment with Terrace. The access of two terraces made this extra special! Inside the apartment was a kitchen and lots of seating which provided an atmosphere that felt like home.
The kitchen was well-equipped with everything needed to cook which included cutlery, cookware, microwave, electric cook-top, coffee machine, teakettle, refrigerator, and more. It would be very easy to stay at the Park Inn by Radisson Residence Riga Barona for an extended stay!
The bedroom was very comfortable and had a back-lit headboard which can change colors.
The bathroom was also very impressive and had a large Jacuzzi bathtub and separated shower stall. The lighting in the bathroom was also lovely and bright.
A feature of the apartment that I really enjoyed were the giant windows. The weather wasn’t the best during my stay, but I did have a chance to snap some photos of the city.
I’d like to thank the Park Inn by Radisson Residence Riga Barona staff for the welcome cheesecake, it was very tasty!
The breakfast at Park Inn by Radisson Residence Riga Barona is served from 7am-10am, which is a little bit earlier than I would have preferred and served in the Tokyo City Restaurant. The buffet is made up of a modest selection both hot and cold items. Overall, I found enough for myself to eat but a bit more selection would have been ideal. I did especially like the interior of the restaurant which is very relaxed and comfortable.
The Park Inn by Radisson Residence Riga Barona is a great place to spend an extended stay in the heart of Latvia. The location in the modern center of the Riga offers easy access to public transportation and the thriving community that surrounds the property. I must point out that the hotel does not have facilities such as a gym, pool, or spa. When it’s all said and done, I enjoyed my stay at Park Inn by Radisson Residence Riga Barona and would happily return, especially for a long stay!
