Another day, another country! Next stop on my most recent world tour was in Riga, Latvia at the luxurious Dome Boutique Hotel. I came directly from the Riga Airport and I took bus 22 which dropped me off just a few hundred meters away. I made my way through part of Riga’s Old Town, down some beautiful winding cobblestone streets before I found myself at the front door of the Dome Hotel. The hotel is in a building that was originally built in the 17th century, but has been renovated to have all of the luxurious modern amenities needed. It’s important to note that all attractions in the city are easily walk-able from the Dome Hotel.

Upon entering the front door, I checked in with a very friendly front desk attendant and made my way up to the third floor to see my spacious suite. It was actually a bit cold when I arrived and was offered a cup of tea. The suite opens up into a small seating area that includes a sofa, desk, and closet.
After the seating area was the large bedroom with a king-size bed. There were lots of features to take in, including chandeliers, a massive headboard, quality stereo system with bluetooth, modern capsule coffee maker, teakettle, and both still and sparkling water refilled daily.
The chocolate with berries was a super tasty welcome gift! Thank you Dome Hotel Riga. I wish this was refilled daily also!
The bathroom was very spacious as well and had a double sink vanity, toilet with separate bidet, large bathtub and shower, and L’Occitane toiletries. Overall, the bathroom was very bright and fragrant! A special feature were the heated tile floors, what a treat!
Actually, during my stay was the first snow of the season! When I woke up I quickly prepared my drone and got a few amazing photos.
During my stay I had a chance to tour several other room types. There are no two rooms alike in this hotel. So much to explore!
The breakfast takes place in their Fish Restaurant on the ground floor. The breakfast is in both an a la carte and buffet format offering only the finest quality food and drink. I’m so glad I got to stay here for so long and enjoy this beautiful breakfast every day! They offer several quality items that go above and beyond standard buffets, including breakfast canapés and sparkling wine. The dining room atmosphere, food quality, and service were fantastic everyday. Well done.
During my stay at Dome Hotel Riga I also had a chance to enjoy the five course tasting menu at Fish Restaurant. As you can imagine, there was a lot of fish! Once again, the service, like at breakfast was fantastic. When it came to the food, although I did appreciate some of the items more than others. Although overall the meal was above average, with a bit more focus on cooking techniques I believe that Fish Restaurant has the potential to be absolutely mind-blowing!
Other features of the Dome Hotel are the Turkish Hammam and Dry Sauna. These are great because it’s possible to use them in complete privacy. Simply alert the staff, and 30 to 40 minutes later it’s time for tranquility. The property did not have a fitness center or pool during my visit.
Overall, my incredible stay at the Dome Hotel offered a fantastic stay and place to relax and recharge. I will remember the incredible breakfast for years to come. If you’re looking for a luxurious boutique hotel stay in a very unique and local accommodation, look no further than the Dome Hotel in Riga, Latvia.
