The Best Luxury Hotels and Casinos in Sin City

Last updated on January 18th, 2025

Las Vegas is known for the city’s glitz and glam — among other offerings, from luxury hotels and resorts to high-stakes games at equally luxurious casinos. In our guide to thrill-seeking in Sin City, we highlighted the range of activities you can indulge in The Entertainment Capital of The World, from testing your standings with Lady Luck in many of the famous Vegas casinos on the strip to viewing top-tier entertainment and talent in the many Vegas shows and gigs, whether you’re into pop, rock, country, or jazz.

Of course, there is also a range of activities for those who choose to shy away from the neon lights of Las Vegas. Because it’s a city built in the desert, there’s a lot you can do to put yourself closer to the wilderness, such as hiking at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Meanwhile, if you’re seeking a more leisurely outdoor experience, you can also visit the gardens and trails at the Spring Preserve, which is a great glimpse of the natural beauty around the Mojave Desert.

If you’re not looking to be too physically active on your Vegas getaway and would rather go on a peaceful and relaxing staycation, there’s an abundance of luxury hotels in Las Vegas. These hotels also offer other amenities, including and especially the in-hotel casinos for nighttime entertainment. Below, we’ll look at some of the best luxury hotels and casinos in Sin City:

Five miles away from North Las Vegas Airport, The D Las Vegas boasts top-notch service in dramatically styled rooms. While you’ll want to take a look at The D’s casino, you may also want to check out the hotel’s many entertainment offerings, from the 100-feet-long Longbar to the vintage Sigma Derby machine on the casino’s second floor — one of the few remaining in all of Las Vegas.

The D Las Vegas was also the first Las Vegas casino to accept the cryptocurrency Bitcoin. Naturally, this led to the first-ever in-casino ATM 10 years ago that dished out Bitcoins in Vegas. The Bitcoin machine is fittingly located near The D’s gift shop, and Bitcoin is also accepted as payment at The D’s front desk, restaurants, and the aforementioned gift shop. For guests looking to spend cryptocurrency at The D Las Vegas, it is facilitated in the same way as online playing video poker on the popular crypto betting site Thunderpick. The platform offers a range of video poker games, from Casino Hold’em to Texas Hold’em, very similar to the variations at The D’s casino.

Part of the Resorts World brand, Resorts World Las Vegas is one of the most well-known hotel and casino properties on the strip. Opened in June 2021, Resorts World is also the most expensive resort property ever developed in Las Vegas. It boasts more than 40 restaurants and bars, such as Genting Palace and Carversteak. Visitors will also enjoy the 117,000-square-foot casino, which contains 1,400 slot machines, 117 table games, a poker room, and a sportsbook—all technologically integrated.

As part of the luxury hotel’s focus on innovative technological amenities, the Las Vegas resort also announced it would be accepting cryptocurrencies as payment in 2024. This move would allow guests and visitors to use the exchange and custody services for popular currencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and others offered by the exchange house founded by the Winklevoss twins in 2014. Most importantly, guests will be able to use crypto in the hotel’s gigantic casino and other entertainment options, including a 5,000-people capacity theater and a shopping center with a variety of stores.

Finally, ask a Las Vegas frequenter for luxury hotel and casino recommendations in Sin City and The Wynn is likely to top the list. Like the other hotel casinos in this list, The Wynn has also joined the crypto movement, offering cryptocurrency payments for room bookings, dining, and entertainment.

At the same time, The Wynn is also widely regarded for its attention to detail and five-star service. The hotel chain is also a home for once-in-a-lifetime experiences like the recently unveiled Revelry culinary festival, which brought some of the world’s most esteemed chefs, best-in-class vintners, mixologists, art installations, and live entertainment. Officially held in June, the festival showcased a variety of events and experiences. This included intimate master classes with the best in the field, inventive and collaborative dinners, and a cheeky speakeasy concept called the Living Room for a refreshing drinking experience.
