One of my favorite parts of traveling and eating for a living, is getting to meet so many passionate people along the way. Food allows me a bridge to meet people I wouldn’t normally meet. While in Dubai, and staying at the Vida Downtown Hotel (which you can read about here) I had a chance to meet Chef Ian Mancais, and try the new menu he is working on for the 3in1 Restaurant.
The restaurant is located poolside and offers a great ambiance indoor and outdoor, both daytime and night.
Chef Mancais has worked all over the world, and in some truly exciting places. All of his experience is reflected in his revamp of the 3in1 Restaurant menu. The first item I tried was a chicken salad. This chicken salad was not only beautiful in appearance, but bursting with a delicious citrus flavor.
My favorite item from all that we tried was the salmon. The salmon was covered in one of in chef’s signature sauces which is Thai inspired. The more I ate, the more I wanted to keep eating! Seriously a must try, you won’t be disappointed.
Other dishes I enjoyed were Chicken Tikka Masala and the beef. The beef was served atop a small ice sculpture for an added wow factor, but besides the presentation the flavor was immense. I also especially enjoyed the small salad served with the Chicken Tikka Masala.
My favorite dessert was made from dates and accompanied with popcorn, mint leaves and other sweet goodness. A very moist cake with crispy popcorn made for a lovely finish to an incredible meal.
When it was all said and done, my experience at the 3in1 Restaurant was lovely! I enjoyed meeting Chef Ian Mancais and trying out the incredible menu! While the old menu was mostly good, the new menu is impeccable. Definitely worth the trip! Enjoy.
