A trip to the south of Thailand would not be complete without a stay at one of the many lovely beach resorts. Therefore, for my most recent trip, I enjoyed a three night stay at Aleenta Phuket – Phang Nga Resort. Despite the name, Aleenta Phuket is actually located just north of Phuket in Phang Nga. It is very close to Phuket to be honest, only 8km to be exact. From the Phuket International Airport it only requires 30 minutes of driving to get to the resort.

I arrived midday from Patong Beach, which is the main tourist beach in Phuket. The difference between Aleenta and the hustle and bustle of Patong is like night and day. Aleenta offers a very calm and relaxed atmosphere which was perfect for recharging the batteries. Even though the resort had a decent number of guests, I rarely saw people. This was because most guests stay in their own accommodations that include private pools. It’s a peaceful paradise!
Once I arrived at Aleenta Phuket – Phang Nga Resort, I made my way to the lobby for a very smooth check-in. Certainly, as you’d expect, there was a refreshing welcome drink, snack, and cold towel. These gestures go a long way.
Resort Design and Facilities
Aleenta Phuket – Phang Nga Resort is made up of both hotel rooms and standalone villas. A majority of the rooms do enjoy a beautiful sea view. Certainly, you can tell from the photos already that this property is simply gorgeous. Aleenta has a timeless design that is sure to impress the most discerning of travelers.
Near the entrance of Aleenta was where the fitness center and a spa are located. The fitness center was of medium-size and had a decent amount of equipment for a great workout. They even had those big ropes you see in the cross-fit gyms. That being said, the fitness equipment was on the older side.
Beachfront Pool Suite
For my three nights at Aleenta Phuket – Phang Nga Resort, I stayed in a Beachfront Pool Suite. All things considered this was definitely one of the best accommodations at the property! It doesn’t get any more dreamy tropical vacation than this. I was right next to the beach but also had my own private pool. Even though I visited during monsoon season, I can happily say that I had more sunshine than rain. Therefore, I must urge you to visit no matter what time of the year it is, because the rain doesn’t last long, even in the rainy season.
The Beachfront Pool Suite was fairly spacious, especially when considering all of the outdoor living space. The indoor features included a king-size bed, working desk, sizable minibar, water kettle for making tea and coffee, sizable closet, book collection, beach bag, Aleenta branded flip-flops, slippers, and more. I always appreciate when hotels use glass bottles instead of plastic. Well done Aleenta! The resort also makes efforts to conserve water by only changing linens when the guest requests.
All the rooms featured a tablet which allowed me to do a lot. For example I could speak directly with the reception, order room service, have my room cleaned or turned down, have the room service trays picked up, and more. Speaking of turn down service, each evening the staff would leave a tasty snack and bedtime story. A nice touch!
The outdoor features of my villa included a lawn, two lounge chairs for sunbathing, as well as table and chairs for dining.
The Beachfront Pool Suite’s bathroom featured a single sink vanity, toilet stall, and outdoor shower stall. It was easy to access the outdoor area from the bathroom. This was perfect if you wanted to go straight to the shower after a swim.
Food and Beverage
Another key point that must be discussed is the food and beverage offering at Aleenta Phuket – Phang Nga Resort. During my stay, I ate most of my meals at The Edge restaurant. This was gloriously beautiful, sitting right next to the pool as well as the sandy beach.
Aleenta offers multiple food and beverage packages, specifically these include half and full board options. If you don’t have your own transportation, or just want to relax and enjoy the resort, I would recommend getting one of these packages. That way you can lounge to your heart’s content and not worry about finding food.
Throughout my stay, I sampled a variety of options on the menu which included both Thai and foreign cuisines. After giving the menu a fair shake, surprisingly I preferred the Western options the most! Some of my favorites included the steak, mozzarella, pizza, creme brulee, Western breakfast, poke bowl, and the pea protein shake. The Thai options were decent but could have been balanced a bit better. Although the current restaurant menu felt quite diverse, I learned that Aleenta would soon be opening a vegan restaurant as well!
Surprisingly, up to this point in my blogger/influencer life, I had not yet had my breakfast served on a floating platter in my private infinity pool. However, during my stay at Aleenta this changed! Firstly, I was impressed with how quickly the kitchen and staff were able to prepare my meal and deliver it. It truly was picture perfect and I have the photos to prove it.
Not only did the breakfast look like it came out of the resort’s promotional brochure, I can attest that everything I consumed was SUPER tasty. Really a job well done Aleenta team.
Additionally, Aleenta Phuket – Phang Nga Resort has a spa known as the Ayurah Spa & Wellness Centre. During my stay I did have a chance to go for an hour long oil massage. I heard good things from the staff in advance but was not prepared for just how good the experience would be. Like with many people, I have muscle tension in various parts of my body. The therapist at Ayurah pinpointed it and did a very good job at releasing it. She was incredibly knowledgeable and the massage turned into more of a physiotherapy session at my request. She even taught me some stretches to do to continue the release afterward.
All of this blew my mind! What a great experience. I cannot recommend the spa enough. It was definitely one of the highlights of my stay at Aleenta.
I was really happy to hear that Aleenta Phuket had a strong focus on sustainability. One of the main ways they do this is with a no single-use plastic policy but also with many other efforts including 100% natural toiletries, composting organic waste, recycling, utilizing natural water treatment systems, reducing electricity use with their building design, and more.
In summary, if you’re looking for a pristine beach resort in Thailand, that is conveniently located, offers a friendly service, and quiet atmosphere, you can most definitely check out Aleenta Phuket – Phang Nga Resort. This property is simply beautiful. It’s a stark contrast from the party beaches of Phuket and offers a real relaxed holiday vibe that I’m sure everyone could use a little more of. Indeed, from the start to the finish, I really enjoyed my stay at the property. Undeniably I can recommend you all to enjoy a stay at Aleenta Phuket – Phang Nga Resort!
