The latest Marriott property I visited in Bangkok was the Bangkok Marriott Hotel The Surawongse. This property has just opened recently and has a great location between the Chao Phraya River and Silom in Surawong. Actually, every 30 minutes the hotel offers a free shuttle to Sala Daeng BTS Station, how convenient! There are a lot of similarities in the room design of Bangkok Marriott Hotel The Surawongse and Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park, which you can read about here.

For this stay, I secured an Executive Room with M Club Lounge access. The room had a beautiful view of the Chao Phraya River and Bangkok. The hotel was so new so it was a given that it had the most modern technology throughout! The bedding of course was very comfortable as with every other Marriott property I’ve ever visited. There was a comfortable office chair for me to work from as well which made me happy.
The bathroom was simply gorgeous and I loved that the design incorporated traditional Thai artwork. It seemed to be the same traditional scene used in many parts of the property including on the glass of the shower stall. It was a nice touch to add a little local flair without veering away from the clean and modern Marriott design. The closet was door-less with in an open design.
The Bangkok Marriott Hotel The Surawongse has already become famous for its amazing rooftop infinity pool on the 18th floor. The pool is exquisite and is gorgeous at all times of day and thus a prime spot for photos! Enjoy yourself.
The 18th floor is also where guests can find the gym, locker rooms, and steam room. As one would expect, all of the equipment was very modern and looked like it came right out of the box.
The M Club Lounge access was a fantastic perk of the stay. The M Club Lounge is on the 31st floor of the Bangkok Marriott Hotel The Surawongse. The club lounge offers breakfast, all day soft drinks and snacks, evening cocktail hours and hors d’oeuvres. Make sure you get there early because this lounge fills up fast with its absolutely impeccable views of the Bangkok sunset. Although the lounge was very busy during my stay, the service was actually very good!
During this stay I had a chance to sample a dinner at their Praya Kitchen on the third floor. This was one of the most impressive dinner buffets I’ve seen in a while! Read more about the full experience in a separate article here.
This stay was incredibly smooth and I would of course stay there again on my next trip to the magnificence city of Bangkok! The Marriott brand tends to be so consistent, it’s hard to go wrong by visiting their properties. The unique location of this property between the metropolitan area of Silom and the relaxed Chao Phraya River gives guests a great starting point to explore the city. The Bangkok Marriott Hotel The Surawongse is great and you should try it!
