My third Banyan Tree Hotel visit was just recently at their Bangkok property. Previously I had visited the Banyan Tree Phuket and Banyan Tree Yangshuo. The Banyan Tree Bangkok is located in the financial district, on Sathorn Road. The Banyan Tree Bangkok is famous for its incredibly elevated Moon Bar and Vertigo restaurant, which you can read about in this article.
I was able to secure a Banyan Tree Serenity Club Suite, so I checked in at the 19th floor club lounge. This was very VIP style with great service from the beginning. We were offered a welcome drink as well as beautiful Thai flowers. These smelled so great, how delightful!
It was not long before we learned that our suite was ready and located on the 55th floor of the Banyan Tree Bangkok Hotel. We were escorted to our room by the staff. The room was lengthy and had multiple windows to enjoy the impeccable view of Bangkok (the large green area is Lumphini park!) All the Banyan Tree branded amenities were in place including beautiful robes, slippers and those cute little water bottle covers.
The spacious living room was incredibly comfortable and had a sofa that was massive. The room also featured a great desk, perfect for writing articles. Wink wink. The staff were good at always refilling coffee capsules and bottles of water throughout the stay.
In the bathroom, and I found a Japanese-style toilet which makes me extra happy. There was also a beautiful bathtub that was quite photogenic. Lots of great toiletries, including mouth-wash and hair brush could also be found.
The Banyan Tree Club Lounge offers a very extensive breakfast buffet, afternoon tea, a wide selection of evening beverages and food. The free flow of beer is definitely unique to the Banyan Tree brand and something to take note of! Also the afternoon tea begins at noon, giving guests extra time to enjoy the food and drinks. The offering of the Banyan Tree Club Lounge is truly impressive. There’s almost no reason to leave the hotel when the food was so good. We actually didn’t leave the property for our entire stay because we enjoyed ourselves so much!
I mentioned earlier this property has glorious food and beverage outlets, I tried Vertigo Rooftop Restaurant and Saffron Thai Restaurant. I’ve written about both more extensively in separate articles (click the restaurant names above.) They also have multiple sky bars including Saffron Sky Garden which is a bit more laid back than the infamous Moon Bar which is practically always buzzing!
On the same floor as the spa, you’ll find the pool, gym, steam room, small cafe and sauna. The gym has great quality equipment and was never busy. There is also a large yoga room. Piping hot steam rooms and saunas near the stairs to the pool. I’m in heaven.
The Banyan Tree brand makes Pierre happy! They met or exceeded all of my expectation and have been incredibly consistent with high-quality service and accommodation throughout the three properties that I’ve visited. Every property makes me a bigger fan! If you’re looking for a hotel that literally has all, and does it better than a majority of the competition, look no further than the Banyan Tree Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand!
