Even before I arrived in Taipei, I’d heard so many rave reviews about the Grand Hyatt Taipei that I was counting down the days to see it for myself. Right next to the iconic Taipei 101 and a stone’s throw from the Taipei World Trade Center, the hotel couldn’t be in a better location. Plus, it’s just a quick drive from Taoyuan International Airport, which made getting there a breeze.
When I checked in, I knew I was in for something special. The rooms and suites are beyond luxurious, and the view of Taipei 101 from my room was absolutely unforgettable. As a World of Hyatt member, I even got some extra perks that really added to the experience. Staying at the Grand Hyatt Taipei felt like the perfect way to dive into the city!

A Grand Welcome: First Impressions at the Grand Hyatt Taipei
I arrived at the Grand Hyatt Taipei in the early afternoon, and from the moment I stepped into their gorgeous, luxurious lobby, I knew I was in for a treat. The space was grand yet inviting, with a refined elegance that set the tone for the entire stay. After a warm welcome from the friendly staff at the front desk, I was personally escorted up to my suite, where I enjoyed a smooth, in-room check-in. It was such a thoughtful touch, and it made me feel like a VIP right from the start!
Luxury Suite in Taipei
This was more than just a corner suite, this had three different views, including Taipei 101, a nearby park, and also the spacious rooftop pool. The suite was incredibly spacious and modern with a large living room that included a, wrap around sofa, dining or work table, and multiple chairs. The coffee and tea making facilities were tucked away in a beautiful cupboard. Nice!
The bedroom was also large with a very comfortable bed, massive walk-in closet, and gorgeous city views from its massive windows. All of the lighting controls were very conveniently located and I appreciated the included USB port.
The suite had two bathrooms, one half bathroom and one full bathroom. The full bathroom had both a bathtub and shower stall, electronic toilet, and two sinks. The Salvatore Ferragamo products were a nice touch. The half bathroom was located near the entrance and also had an electronic toilet. I love heated seats!
Hyatt Club Lounge Taipei
I had Hyatt Club Lounge access on the 22nd floor for the duration of the stay. I loved the breakfast as well as evening hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. Breakfast went from 6:30am to 10:30am on weekdays and 6:30am to 11:00am on the weekends. Tea and coffee are available all day with some small snacks in the afternoon. Evening cocktails and hors d’oeuvres were available from 5:30pm to 8:00pm.
The food in the lounge was quite extensive and super tasty. One of the evenings they made pork ribs, which were absolutely to die for! I liked that they worked in local Taiwanese dishes so I got to experience even more local cuisine during my stay. The alcohol selection was very extensive as well!
Luxury Hotel Amenities
On the fifth floor is where you can find the pool, spa, and gym. The pool is a rooftop pool, massive in size and a great place to relax. The men’s spa is what I really took advantage of, which was equipped with a cold bath, hot bath, steam room and dry sauna. I visited at least once a day and really enjoyed my time there. The gym was well-equipped and never required guests to wait around.
Best Fine Dining in Taipei
During my stay I also had a chance to try their Yun Jin Chinese restaurant. The interior of the restaurant was very chic and comfortable. The Yun Jin restaurant had dishes from all over China and Taiwan so anyone with an interest in these cuisines will find something they enjoy. Some of my favorite items from the dinner included the asparagus, fried anchovies, spicy prawns, and pork belly. The service was also very good throughout the meal, just like the rest of the property.
The day I arrived at the Grand Hyatt Taipei was the day after my birthday. The staff had been following my Instagram and surprised me with a birthday cake and a bottle of wine! Great service for this special occasion and in every other area throughout the stay.
One last thing, make sure you ask for the chocolate coated mango for your turn-down amenity! So good, I asked for it again and again!
Conclusion: A Top Luxury Hotel in Taiwan
My time in Taipei was an absolute delight! Staying at the Grand Hyatt Taipei was exceptional in every way. From the stunning location next to Taipei 101 to the luxurious amenities and attentive service, this hotel was memorable. The Grand Hyatt Taipei has something for everyone with a wide variety of amenities. The property offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and style that’s hard to beat. If you’re planning a trip to Taipei, I can’t recommend this hotel enough. It’s the ideal place to stay and experience the best of the city. Enjoy your trip!
