If you have good taste in food, then you’ll enjoy Thai food. After living in Thailand for three years, I learned that Thai people not only cook amazing local food, but they can also cook wonderful international food. The flavors that I’ve tasted in Bangkok have always agreed with me. Maybe it’s because I really enjoy strong seasoning and Thai food has lots of taste. All my experiences have led me to have the highest expectations when it comes to all food in Thailand.
While staying at the So Sofitel hotel in Bangkok, I had a chance to eat at their Park Society restaurant on the 29th floor. The restaurant offers western cuisine with a kick of Thai influence. Right from the start, I knew it would be a great meal when I first had a piece of the bread. This wasn’t an ordinary dinner roll, this was similar to a cinnamon bun but instead of cinnamon and sugar it was replaced with Thai herbs and spices. A savory masterpiece!
To get a really full picture of the menu, I ordered the eight course tasting menu. Moving right into the appetizers was pork belly and Hokkaido scallop tartare. Talk about starting off a meal correctly! Both of these were extremely tasty. Not only were they popping with flavor but the pork was extremely juicy.
I absolutely love risotto, like most people. Every time I think I’ve had my favorite risotto I have another one that beats the previous. This Tom Yum risotto is my new favorite! Along with this was a tasty open-faced lobster ravioli. Pure indulgence.
So far, everything in the meal was absolutely phenomenal. Now it was onto the main courses and I definitely have to say that the snow fish was my favorite. The beef had some interesting flavor but was a little bit on the tougher side.
The desserts definitely were a great finish to a wonderful evening at Park Society. Both were very tasty and a great ending to this magnificent meal. I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. I say this from the bottom of my heart people! You’ll not be disappointed with the food at Park Society. So full of flavor, I want to eat there again and again. I highly recommend that you pay a visit to Park Society the next time that you’re in Bangkok, Thailand!
