You know how New York has Central Park? I’m sure you do. In Bangkok there is Lumphini Park. Basically, it’s the Thai version of Central Park. This park is absolutely gorgeous and if you visit Bangkok it’s a must visit. Lucky for me, during my last trip to Bangkok I stayed at the So Sofitel hotel which overlooks this beautiful park. Honestly, I didn’t want to leave my room because I had such a spectacular view!

My room was on the 25th floor and simply blew my mind. The layout and design were gorgeous. The So Sofitel hotel has four different themes for their rooms. I went with the water theme and my room turned out to be the ideal place to relax and enjoy the city. One of my favorite features was the bathtub. I spent an evening in it overlooking the Bangkok skyline which was magnificent.
They left me a nice tray of traditional Thai sweets as well as some local fruit. A great feature about the hotel is that they offer a complementary minibar. No alcohol but some nice snacks and beverages to keep you nourished!
On the same floor as my room they also have their Club Signature lounge. If you’re staying in a club room then you can have breakfast, afternoon tea and happy hour in the lounge. Lounge life is the good life. There is a smaller breakfast buffet in the lounge. However, they offer some amazing a la carte items including the So Big breakfast which I ordered and was very pleased with.
I can’t forget to talk about their pool and fitness area. Seriously, a breathtaking arrangement. Both are looking over the park. They offer a wide variety of workout equipment and facilities to keep you at your fittest!
I stayed at the property for two nights and the second morning, I opted for the breakfast in the Red Oven restaurant. Holy mother of God! This was a very extensive breakfast. The food seems to go on forever! It’s all in a beautifully designed dining room where the theme is red. All the food was super tasty and presented very nicely.
I must say that when it was time to leave, I really didn’t want to. The So Sofitel hotel in Bangkok, Thailand is one of the best in the city. The design is unique and will keep your stay exciting. The service is fantastic and I really enjoyed the food. I even had a chance to have a wonderful meal at the top of the hotel in their Park Society restaurant, but we will save that for another article. Wink. I’m sure that you will be visiting Bangkok sooner or later and if you’re interested in a very amazing hotel which offers an incredible package, I recommend you to checkout the So Sofitel hotel!
