Even though I’ve lived in Thailand in the past, I have actually never visited a Dusit property, until now. My very first Dusit property happened to be the Pathumwan Princess Hotel in Siam. This hotel is connected to the famous MBK shopping center. If you didn’t know, MBK is in the center of Bangkok and known for its bargains. Also nearby is Chulalongkorn University, which is where I did my study exchange program, and several malls including Siam Center, Siam Paragon, and Central World. It’s safe to say that you can easily get around the rest of the city very easily from the Pathumwan Princess Hotel in Bangkok!

I entered the spacious lobby and went to the reception on the second floor. I was greeted and welcomed with a drink and then escorted up to my room on the 12th floor.
The suite that I secured for my stay was incredibly spacious with a business-oriented design. The entry way had a full-size refrigerator and the living room had a capsule coffee machine, sofa, lounge chair, and large working desk. Not a bad view of the pool below!
The bedroom was equally as large as the living room with a long sofa that ran the length of the window and a king-size bed. Overall, I enjoyed this suite!
The bathroom featured a large bathtub, shower stall, single sink with vanity. The suite had a very large walk-in closet with a massive area to put luggage. This suite had everything I needed.
My staying included club lounge access, which was located on the ground floor of the Pathumwan Princess Hotel. At the club lounge guests are offered breakfast, all day refreshments including sandwiches, and of course two evening cocktail hours with even more food. The staff throughout the stay in the lounge were just lovely very helpful. The food also was something very special as well.
I actually really appreciated that they had a heated food rack to keep items crispy and warm. Nothing ever got cold or soggy! Take note other hotel club lounges. The lounge offered enough food throughout the day that I actually didn’t need to eat outside the hotel. The Pathumwan Princess Hotel also has a large main breakfast nearby but I would recommend sticking to the lounge because it’s more peaceful!
During the stay I also had a chance to have a dinner at their Terrazza Italian restaurant, poolside which made for a nice ambiance!
The Pathumwan Princess Hotel is rated as four stars but they have more than most five star properties so not sure why. The turn-down service with chocolates was a nice touch!
On the eighth floor of the property is the Pathumwan Princess Hotel’s massive rooftop pool, gym, and outdoor fitness facilities including running track, tennis courts, boxing gym, ping pong table, basketball court, and badminton courts! In the locker rooms guest will find steam rooms and a dry sauna. The gym is a membership gym so it is quite busy at all times of day. Gym members also have access to the pool. All in all, these facilities are great and the gym had way more than enough equipment for everyone.
The Pathumwan Princess Hotel is an overall solid property with a very convenient location in the center of Bangkok in Siam. A majority of the stay was just fantastic, but there were a few minor hiccups here and there. Overall, I was won over by the truly lovely service and can easily recommend a stay at the Pathumwan Princess Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand!
