Shortly after Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills first opened, I made my first visit to this amazing property. Andaz is part of the Hyatt Brand and features a strong sense of luxury accompanied with a beautiful design element. My first visit was so memorable that I was incredibly excited to visit again! There are 7 aspects of this property that make it one of my favorite hotels which I will now share with you.
1. Immaculate Design
Andaz Tokyo is beautiful everywhere! Whether you’re walking in the front door, relaxing in the lobby, sweating in the sauna, taking a dip in the pool or spending time in the rooms, this property is consistently drop-dead gorgeous! A majority of the interior color is white and is typically complimented with bold color accents and the use of contrasting materials. The design provides a very uplifting and relaxing atmosphere.
Throughout Andaz Tokyo there is a lot of beautiful wood features which I feel in love with. The entire property feels well built, reeking of the highest quality. The beautiful visual appeal continues to the food presentation as well, which I will talk about more below.
2. Charming Location
Andaz Tokyo is nearby the Toranomon Metro Station and atop the Toranomon Hills Skyscraper. This district has both small streets filled with local Japanese restaurants as well as more commercial options mixed in. The area is busy, but not overly so like the main tourist areas of Tokyo. It’s quaint. From the Toranomon Metro Station, it’s quite convenient to travel to the other major areas of the city.
3. Excellent Facilities
When I’m not working, I’m usually at the spa, pool or gym facilities. Just like the rest of the property, all of the facilities are beautifully designed, and of the highest quality. The gym is fully stocked with top-of-the-line equipment. In the relaxation rooms there are saunas and hot/cold tubs. I loved that the changing rooms have all of the self-care products you’ll ever need. On top of all this there is a beautiful lap pool with a stunning view of Tokyo!
4. Complimentary Minibar
Receiving something small and thoughtful makes people feel warm and fuzzy inside. At Andaz Tokyo you can expect to have non-alcoholic beverages and snacks free of charge in your room. The wasabi rice crackers were out of this world! So good I had to ask for extra!
5. Bonus Food and Drink
Everyday from 6 pm to 8 pm in the lobby of Andaz Tokyo, you can expect to find a variety of snacks and beverages. Their sparkling sake is absolutely phenomenal, I recommend the blue bottle which was a sweeter variety. The snacks were also good but don’t expect a full meal. They also have some soft drinks available throughout the day as well as snacks.
During my Andaz Tokyo stay I got to experience both the in-room dining breakfast and the main breakfast. First was in-room dining, I ordered the Japanese Set. Everything I bit into was superb. A classic Japanese Set Breakfast typically includes grilled fish, miso soup, white rice and some side dishes. This had all that and much more! Not only did the food taste fantastic, enjoying it in my beautiful room with the view was stunning! The presentation went a long way in my book.
The other days I enjoyed breakfast in the main dining area. Years ago during my first visit, the breakfast left a strong impression on me with its beauty and great flavor. I was so excited to return and eat it all once again. The menu had changed slightly but everything was still fantastic. Guests are free to order two items off of their à la carte menu as well as enjoy the very extensive breakfast buffet. An added plus is the amazing view on the 51st floor! Pro tip: order the French Toast!
7. Top-Notch Service
Not only does Andaz Tokyo lead the pack when it comes to the property and its features, the service was consistently good during both of my visits. There was never a time where I met a staff member that didn’t treat me with courtesy. Thank you!
Revisiting such a great property was a bit nerve-racking because the bar was set so high from the impeccable first visit. Luckily, Andaz Tokyo did a great job in all the categories and proved that they are consistent with their offering. This is one of the top properties I’ve ever visited and I highly recommend you to do the same! Book your room now at Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills.
