As you all know, there are tons of beaches to consider while visiting Thailand. Just a three hour drive from Bangkok is Rayong Province. Rayong has tons of coast line that tends to be a bit quieter, making for a more peaceful getaway than the more heavily populated tourist areas. For this trip, I had the opportunity to stay at the Centara Q Resort Rayong. Upon arrival I was greeted warmly and ushered to the reception area for an effortless check in process.

The first thing I noticed about this property was the stylish architecture. For the first two nights I stayed in a Superior Room on the seventh floor, looking out the side of the property. This room was fairly spacious with an open closet, king bed, balcony, shower stall, sleeper sofa, kettle and instant coffee, but no coffee machine.
For the last night of the stay, I tried out the Deluxe Ocean Facing room. Although the superior room was nice, the upgrade put me way more into the holiday mood, as I could see the pool. The Deluxe Ocean Facing room also had a shower with skylight and a large bathtub. Definitely a great holiday room for the entire family.
To reach the beach, guests must walk down a few flights of stairs or take a shuttle from the lobby which is always on call. I’d recommend going down the stairs because the view is gorgeous. The beach was nice and clean, and the water was warm!
The pool at Centara Q Resort Rayong is a gorgeous little tropical oasis. Lots of places to soak up the sun. Just next to the pool guests can find the Qube Restaurant.
The Qube Restaurant was where I ate all of my lunches and dinners during the stay at Centara Q Resort Rayong. They offer tons of Thai food as well as Western options. The restaurant sits poolside with indoor and outdoor seating. You can also sit near the beach! Everything was delicious, but obviously the Thai food was exceptionally so. Some of my favorite dishes from the stay were the som tum, larb moo, yum taley, and the fish and chips. Amazing!
The breakfast occurs in a separate dining room in the same building as the spa. I was very impressed with the quality of the breakfast each morning! Guests can also sit outdoor if desired. Each night I anticipated the flawless breakfast with options for everyone. Each bite I took, I slid deeper into food heaven. They also had great service at breakfast.
During the stay at the Centara Q Resort Rayong, I had a chance to try out a signature massage at the spa. The main therapist has worked all around the world and truly perfected her technique. I’d highly recommend a treatment there to fully relax!
The Centara Q Resort Rayong does have a modest gym located in the basement of the main building. They have everything needed for a great workout! I had it all to myself for the entire four days.
I really appreciated the calmness of the Centara Q Resort Rayong. The service throughout the stay was quite good and I especially loved food. Although the overall design of the property was beautiful, there were parts that did require some maintenance. However, little things I noticed most likely wouldn’t affect most guest’s holiday. All in all, if you’re looking for a tropical oasis not far from Bangkok look no further Centara Q Resort in Rayong, Thailand!
