I don’t know what it is but it seems like the last night in a city I enjoy myself the most and this was definitely the case in London! From the moment I walked in the hotel I knew that I would enjoy my time there. The Grosvenor House JW Marriott hotel is coming out of a recent refurbishment and the lobby looks magnificent! Very clean styling and I love their color scheme. It gives a very clean and modern feel to the lobby. Fresh!

I started my visit to London with a view of Hyde Park and I ended the same way. I had another large suite! This one however had a balcony with a seating area! Too bad it was raining most of the time and I couldn’t use it! Oh London!
They did welcome me with a chocolate bunny and some beautiful flowers which was a very nice touch seeing that it was Easter weekend. Before my stay was over, rest assured that I ate it all.
The bathroom was beautifully designed. However, there was no bathtub. It did have a huge shower which you could easily fit an entire family in.
In the bedroom heaven awaited me. You know how I feel about Marriott bedding. A soft abyss. It’s safe to say that both nights I slept like a sack of potatoes.
I’ve never not had an amazing gym at a Marriott hotel! I know this is a strong statement but I have yet to be proven wrong! Exhibit A.
Did I mention that I had lounge access? Well I had lounge access. It’s another top feature that I really enjoy while traveling. Once again the design is beautiful much like the lobby and the Park Room. You will be sure to read about my afternoon tea experience won’t you? You’ll be able to find it in a separate article shortly. I was pleasantly surprised to find the same scones in the lounge that they offer during the afternoon tea. Therefore, when I wanted to get some work done I was also able to enjoy a great little snack while doing so.
It’s about breakfast time baby! The first morning we went for the breakfast in the lounge which as you can imagine was quite nice but as is all lounges offered slightly less selection than the main breakfast in the Marriott’s JW Steakhouse. Everywhere I go they have salmon with capers and I never turn it down because it has a special place in my heart.
Take a look at how extensive the JW Steakhouse breakfast was! We went for the buffet as well as ordering some à la carte items including eggs over medium, waffles and pancakes. The entire breakfast was very nice but the waffles could’ve used a little less cooking. It all put me in a very jolly mood!
The entire experience was quite smooth and I was very sad when it came time to leave. As with some of the other hotels I’ve reviewed I definitely would not have a problem living in the JW Marriott. Wink wink. Alas I had to travel on my next stop which was Lisbon. I highly recommend you to stay at the Grosvenor House JW Marriott on Park Lane in London!
