My second stop in Athens was at the Hera hotel. The Hera hotel is conveniently located just next to the Acropolis Museum. The hotel has a luxury feel as soon as you walk in the front door. The lobby has very high ceilings and a warm and welcoming staff.

Once I was checked in, I headed up to the 5th floor to check out my suite. One of the greatest features about the suite would have to be the giant terrace overlooking the Parthenon. This view was quite extraordinary. I was able to capture some wonderful photos during all hours of my stay. The room was quite spacious and had a sofa as well as a coffee table which gave a great place to relax.
The hotel was nice enough to welcome me with a beautiful dessert. Actually they delivered two of them, and I ate both. Wink.
The bathroom was fairly cohesive in its design, and had a shower that could really pump out the water.
I was excited to wake up the next morning to try the hotel’s buffet breakfast on the ground floor. The dining room was quite wonderful. There’s a huge dome that lets in a lot of light and provides great ambiance for dining. The buffet breakfast is fairly standard and included all of your normal western items as well as a few Greek specialties, which I enjoyed. For example, they had a great Greek cheese pie. Overall, a solid breakfast indeed!
When it was all said and done, my stay at the Hera hotel was quite smooth. It’s important to note that there is no gym or spa. The hotel could also use a few updates. The best feature of the property would have to be the wonderful location. As I’ve noted, you can have a great view of the Acropolis and for this, it’s quite valuable. Therefore, I believe that the hotel Hera in Athens, Greece offers a pleasant place to stay!
