Hotel Majestic was originally built in 1932. It is a symbol of luxury and colonial heritage in Malaysia. Nowadays, the hotel has been updated but kept that original feel in its Majestic Wing. They’ve added on a Tower Wing which adds tons of room and a more modern feel. Depending on what style you prefer, the hotel has a lot to offer on both wings.

I arrived in the afternoon and was greeted by the staff at the airport which guided me to the express train. The train to the city takes about 30 minutes and once I arrived at Sentral station (this is how they spell it) there was a private car there to pick me up. In about five minutes time, we were arriving at the front doors of the hotel.
The staff was very kind and checked me in quickly. I first arrived at the Tower Wing which has a very modern feel but I walked over to the Majestic Wing where I stepped back in time. Beautiful and luxurious style everywhere I turned. I absolutely love this type of luxury!
I finished checking in and learned about the hotel’s offering in the Majestic Wing and then headed up to see my room. I had a large very large suite. The design was similar to the classic elements in the lobby. However, the rooms had a slightly more contemporary feel. What really excited me, was the bathroom. Look at the tiles and the bathtub! Just flawless.
Staying in the Majestic Wing gives you a few benefits. First of all you can enjoy afternoon tea and evening cocktails in the lobby. Another feature you receive is the ability to have in room dining. You have two options for breakfast, you can eat in the main dining room in the Tower Wing or you can have your breakfast in your room.
I like to eat a large breakfast because I’m a big strong man. Therefore, I went for the Tower Wing breakfast. I really had no idea what to expect and I was very pleasantly surprised with the breakfast selection. Firstly, I noticed that there were people from all over the world and also food from all over the world to match. I’m quite certain that you will be able to find something that fits your taste buds easily!
There were many different areas of the hotel to explore. There is a gym in the Tower Wing and a pool on the rooftop. There is also another pool in the Majestic Wing. Both pools are beautifully designed. On the rooftop there is an outdoor garden which is also quite a nice place to explore and relax.
During my stay I had an opportunity to experience their wonderful spa. You’ll definitely have to read about it in a separate article. Wink.
When it was time to leave, they had a private car waiting for me. The process was easy. I was a little bit concerned about the transportation before I arrived but I quickly realize that they had a system that worked out very smoothly. They brought me right to the train I hopped on the express train and was in the airport in no time!
All in all, the stay was very smooth and I really enjoyed the classic design of the hotel. I love how it maintained a feeling from almost 100 years ago. It’s really great that you can enjoy different types of interior design in different areas of the hotel. No matter what type you like, I’m sure that you’ll enjoy the great service, delightful food and wonderful style of Hotel Majestic in Kuala Lumpur!
