The Intercontinental hotel embraces everything that I enjoy about a hospitality experience. Not to mention this Intercontinental is in the Middle East where I absolutely love the food. Well I don’t really have to write the review now because I told you my opinion already. Don’t worry I’ll get into the details anyways! Wink.

From the moment I arrived I was treated like royalty! I was a little early so I was brought up to the amazing lounge and served Turkish coffee with dates. Already when you say Turkish coffee you’ve got me because it’s my favorite. This one came in a beautiful cup and was presented in the most elegant way possible. Plus 500 points!
During my trips to the Middle East people always assume that I’m Arabic. I think it has something to do with my thick eyebrows but I’m not 100% sure. Anyways, I feel like I just blend right in when I’m there whether it’s Lebanon, Jordan or the Emirates. I’m absolutely in love with Middle Eastern food and Intercontinental is a great place to experience everything Pierre loves.
First lets start by talking about their fantastic lounge on the eighth floor. Pierre loves to get his work done and this is the perfect place to go and do exactly that. The staff is fantastic very friendly and they will bring you exactly what you need to be the most productive. Obviously, they offer refreshments and snacks all day which basically can replace all of your meals. In the evening they offer a very extensive buffet along with A very wide selection of alcoholic refreshments. Seriously what more can you ask for?!
Another feature of the hotel I really enjoy is there spa and fitness center. Inside the men’s locker room they offer a full hot tub, sauna and steam room which I could basically live in. For all you fish out there, they also have indoor and outdoor pools!
I noticed that there are a lot of people using the gym and then I realized that they’re actually members of the gym. The gym is so nice that many people that live in Jordan get memberships. If that doesn’t say something about quality than I don’t know what does.
I know I took a little bit longer than normal to get to the rooms but I was so excited about the lounge and the spa I just couldn’t stop myself. Anyways, for the stay I secured a very large suite on the fifth floor. The type of suite that my dreams are made of!
The entryway of the suite is simply beautiful with tons of flowers and beautiful lighting to set the mood. A very large living room with tons of seating for all of your guests or just to relax. A bedroom with a huge comfortable bed and fantastic bedding. Even more seating in the bedroom in case you want to relax in there. A huge closet for all of your belongings. To finish it all off a magnificent bathroom with a huge bathtub and shower. Perfection!
The gym is great for working off all of the amazing food you’ll eat while staying at the hotel. My suite had access to two different breakfast locations. One is obviously in the executive lounge on the eighth floor and the other is on the ground floor in the lobby. Both breakfasts were very extensive and tasted great.
I seem to find great hotel staff at many hotels regardless of the country or city that I’m in but for some reason in Jordan I felt like it was much easier to make personal connections with the staff. I had very long conversations with multiple staff members and they all were very genuine. Seriously this makes a huge difference!
I definitely cannot forget to mention that they also offer some fantastic restaurants on premise. I had a chance to eat at their Lebanese restaurant called Bourj Al Hamam. You’ll definitely have to read that separate article.
In retrospect the hotel is really amazing! It’s the little things like the quality of the service, the food and the drinks which really put this place over the top. They really don’t miss a beat. I have yet to stay at all of the hotels in Amman but at this point the Intercontinental is definitely one of my top choices. I would not think twice about recommending the Intercontinental to my closest friends and family so you must check it out!
