What a fantastic last meal to my time spent in Amman! My last night at the Intercontinental hotel I ate at their Bourj Al Hamam Lebanese restaurant. The next day it was off to Petra and then Aqaba to visit the Intercontinental hotel there.
For this meal we started out with a bottle of Lebanese wine. We went with a Blanc De Blancs by Chateau Kefraya straight from the motherland. It was refreshingly smooth and a great way to start off the evening!
At the same time we ordered the wine we also ordered all of the small Lebanese dishes known as mezze. These include well-known dishes such as tabbouleh, hummus, stuffed grape leaves, kibbeh, dandelions and halloumi cheese. I think when I say this most people would agree that you can easily just have these as your meal. Absolutely delicious! Pierre was in heaven.
I would be lying if I said we only stuck with the mezze. We really went for a home-run with this meal! We ordered a mixed grill, a beef steak that was prepared with tomatoes and bread which was phenomenal. The beefsteak was ordered off of their specialty section on the menu which I highly recommend!
Just when we thought we couldn’t eat anymore we ordered some dessert to complete the evening. My absolute favorite had to be the kunafeh. The one that I had here in Jordan was by far the best I’ve ever had! Sorry Lebanon! Super moist and full of amazing flavor.
This whole trip to Jordan I had been drinking Turkish an Arabian coffee nonstop. Why break tradition? This is the same way I ended the meal. There’s nothing like it and it just puts me in such a good mood.
The Bourj Al Hamam restaurant really hit a home-run with this meal. I feel like we ordered a wide variety of items and made sure that the quality was held highly throughout. I have no issues whatsoever with recommending this restaurant to everyone I know. I’m confident that you’ll have a fantastic meal at the Bourj Al Hamam restaurant in Amman, Jordan!
