Have you heard of the Hilton hotel before? Of course you have. The first hotel I stayed at on London’s notorious Park Lane was the Hilton. I’ll start off by saying that this property is huge! There are many restaurants, bars, facilities, lounges and just about everything else you could possibly imagine. I really appreciate the property and all that they have to offer.

I arrived in the morning a bit earlier than the typical check-in time. I predicted this might happen but my room wasn’t quite ready so I ended up waiting in their lounge for a little white. It gave me a chance to explore the hotel and find the location of the happy hour. My wait was worth it and I was given a suite that was bigger than most people’s apartments! Not too shabby!
This suite was absolutely massive. However, Pierre lives a plus sized life so it was a perfect fit. There were many windows which I could look at a beautiful view of London’s Hyde Park.
Did I mention how grand the suite was? Fantastic styling throughout. Feeling very luxurious. Not only did the suite have one bathroom but two! That’s right folks, two bathrooms with showers. In the master bathroom there was a giant bathtub with mood lighting which I thought was something quite unique.
My first stop the following morning was of course my favorite part of the day, breakfast. On the ground floor in there Podium restaurant they offer an extensive breakfast buffet. It is also possible to order off an à la carte menu. I really liked the fact that they had prearranged fresh fruit bowls to get proper nutrition while traveling. I’m realizing how important it is to make sure I have a balanced diet with all my vitamins and thanks to the Hilton this task was super easy. I also really enjoyed my omelette that I ordered à la carte! The rest wasn’t super exciting but still a great way to start my day.
During my stay at the Hilton I also had a chance to experience some of their restaurants including Galvin at Windows. You’ll have to read the other article to get the full in-depth review. Wink.
As I mentioned earlier, I had breakfast at Podium but also this is where they offer their afternoon tea. The dining room was absolutely packed during high tea. First thing I noticed was the sandwiches were huge! You really feel the value for your money there. Who doesn’t like relaxing while drinking tea and champagne all afternoon!? My favorite part of the whole afternoon tea experience were the sweets! I would highly recommend going for tea at the London Hilton on Park Lane. The experience was just great!
My schedule was super busy while I was staying in London so I didn’t have time to experience the gym but I do have some photos. As expected at a brand like the Hilton there is always a full gym and fitness center to work with!
My suite did give me lounge access. The lounge is located on the first floor. The major offering of this lounge would be the happy hour from 6pm to 8pm every night to get your drink on. There are a few snacks there during this time and throughout the day but I would definitely recommend you focus on the beverages.
In the end, the overall experience was quite good! The service staff in all of the restaurants and throughout the hotel treated me well. I greatly enjoyed a majority of the food during my stay and definitely the sweets during high tea. Being such a huge property, the Hilton hotel on Park Lane definitely has a lot to offer and I would suggest that you take some time to explore this property much like I just did your next time in London!
