I’m not sure how this always happens but no matter what country I end up in I seem to always find an Asian restaurant. This time around it was inside the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Amman, Jordan. It’s called Indochine and they offer a wide variety of Asian cuisine but specialize in Vietnamese. I would credit this to the chef being Vietnamese!
They offer so many different dishes that I wanted to sample all of them! We started with an order of pho which had to be one of the best items ordered for obvious reasons. The broth had some real soul in it and got me super excited to visit Vietnam later this year!
Then we moved on to the next round of dishes including some grilled meat and a beef salad. I have to say that the order of pork was the best item of the entire meal! It melted in my mouth. Wow!
For the entrees we went with the scallops and an order of stir fried chicken. I have to say that the scallops had an amazing flavor. They could’ve been cooked a little less but overall tasted great!
Another very memorable part of the meal was the dessert. We ordered two items for dessert. One was a ginger crème brûlée and the other was a chocolate cake with ice cream. The ginger crème brûlée was something very special! It was the first time that I’ve ever had a crème brûlée with ginger and the taste was quite exquisite. It really hit the spot!
At the end of the night I was very satisfied with the meal. We had to sample a lot of different dishes to give this restaurant a fair critique. You’re welcome. The staff was very attentive, warm and welcoming. I really appreciated everyone’s hospitality. If you’re looking to eat some great Asian food in Amman then I would recommend you pay a visit to Indochine!
