For those of you that know me, you know that I always enjoy trying something new. Over the years, I have become familiar with the JW Marriott Brand, but it wasn’t until this year in Singapore that I realized times at the brand were changing. The JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach is a whole new type of JW Marriott. This is the first JW Marriott that I have ever visited that had such an artistic flair. From the interior to the exterior of the building, the entire premises is a work of art! Located in one of the most prime locations in the Singapore, JW Marriott South Beach is a beautiful modern property with a lot to offer.

The staff were waiting for me when I arrived, and assisted me with an in-room check-in. The lobby set the stage for what was to come. I liked the complimentary candy near the front door.
When I entered the room, I got slapped in the face with the bold design. Typically my JW Marriott experiences have been more of a business luxury experience, not this one! Whether it’s the large mural above the headboard or the highly contrasted carpeting, there was a lot to take in at the JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach.
As the property is quite new, all of the technology is also modern and convenient. I would like to thank the staff for the lovely welcome gifts, including the two bottles of wine and sweets! This property looks out over the whole of Singapore and view is simply breathtaking. During turn-down service I was left some tasty chocolates. The Marriott bedding as usual was super soft and comfortable, I slept like a brick.
The bathroom was quite impressive and very spacious indeed. I took note of the subtle touches such as the unique design of the water cups. There was a shower stall, toilet stall, and the beautiful bathtub in the center. The JW Marriott uses the Aromatherapy Associates toiletries which all had very nice fragrances.
I was pleasantly surprised with a 30 minute welcome massage at the Spa by JW. It was a fast massage but it really hit the spot was a great way to start the stay. More hotels should take note, wink wink.
The JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach is a giant complex with a host of food and beverage outlets and a massive event space. I had a chance to have dinner and drinks at their Madame Fan Restaurant and Bar, which you can read about in a separate article here! Amazing food.
The JW Marriott South Beach Singapore Hotel has two outdoor pools, one with a partial roof and the other which is fully covered. Both pools offered splendid views of Singapore. The gym is located on the 18th floor of the property and quite busy in the morning. There are only steam rooms and saunas inside of the spa but not in the changing rooms of the gym or pool. They do have a ping pong table so that slightly makes up for it.
For the duration of my stay, I had Marriott Executive Club Lounge access located on the second floor. This club lounge was basically a full-fledged restaurant. The executive lounge guests can enjoy an extensive buffet breakfast, afternoon tea, and hors d’oeuvres and evening cocktails for four hours! I’m always impressed by the JW Marriott cocktail hours, which are always extended. A great offering indeed. All three meals of the day can easily be covered in their lounge so no need to go out unless you really want to!
There’s also the opportunity to have breakfast on the first floor of the property in the main breakfast area. I got to enjoy some of the regional Asian cuisine for my breakfast, but they do have all of the international options you could possibly desire. Overall, very tasty with top-notch service.
Surprisingly, part of the buildings of the property were historical and kept in their original state. One of these is their event space. All types of events would be great to have here and the lighting and design were stunning.
If you want a JW Marriott that is quite different from the rest but still keeps the very high standards of the brand, look no further than the JW Marriott South Beach Singapore Hotel. This conveniently located property has a lot to offer, especially with the rich offering of the club lounge. I had a splendid time and was quite surprised with my experience, in a good way. The stay was flawless, and I can easily recommend the JW Marriott Singapore South Beach Hotel!
