For many years I was very excited to make a visit to the famous Fullerton Hotel Singapore! Luckily, on my recent trip, I was able to make my dream a reality. I was flying in from Bangkok, and as soon as I reached the top of the jet bridge, I saw a Fullerton Singapore representative waiting for me. Mr. Adwin was very welcoming and guided me through immigration and to the private Fullerton Hotel Airport Transfer. The Mercedes-Benz was nice but I could have sworn I saw two Rolls-Royces in the hotel photos! Maybe next time 😉

A quick 20 minute drive later and we were pulling up to the front of The Fullerton Hotel Singapore. The property is in the Central Business District of Singapore, making in perfectly situated for utmost convenience. There was a delightful staff member waiting for me at the entrance of the hotel, to open the door of the car, and take me directly to the room for an in-room check-in. The Fullerton Hotel Singapore was originally the Post Office of Singapore and is nearly 100 years old. The property became a hotel in 2001!
I passed through the lobby and the rest of the building on my way up to my room. It has many beautiful pieces of art throughout to add to its luxurious charm.
I learned that the room I was staying in had recently been renovated, and it showed. It was incredibly gorgeous and felt like home. There were many features to take note of including all of the top-of-the-line technology, including the lighting, electric curtains, USB charging ports, complimentary tablet, Handy smartphone, Harman/Kardon bluetooth speaker, and much much more. The bedding was just perfect and a real dream to sleep in. I want this bed at home!
The room’s tea and coffee station had TWG Tea and a capsule coffee machine. I wouldn’t expect anything less in such a luxurious hotel.
The bathroom style was equally as impressive as the bedroom and featured a single sink, electronic Toto toilet, full-sized bathtub, and separated glass shower stall. Overall, the whole room and bathroom fit together like a glove. Very impressive!
Yes, all my physical possessions fit into those two bags! It’s been four years living as a minimalist and I’m not looking back!
For my stay, I had The Straits Club access. The Straits Club is located on the fourth floor and offers a buffet breakfast from 6:30am until 11:00am daily, afternoon tea from 2:30pm to 4:30pm, and evening canapés and cocktails from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. I liked how The Straits Club felt like a comfortable living room with multiple types of seating. The food and service was absolutely fantastic during my entire stay! If you want to really indulge, they have champagne at breakfast. I will not forget the incredibly charismatic Placidus who took care of me during my visits to The Straits Club. Keep up the good work!
A very impressive daily afternoon tea at The Straits Club! Not only did each item look amazing, it tasted that way too.
For another breakfast option, The Fullerton’s main breakfast is on the ground level, along the Singapore River. It’s a great place to enjoy breakfast! The buffet is truly massive and delicious as well. If it’s not hot weather (I doubt it) you can enjoy the outdoor seating!
The Fullerton Hotel Singapore has beautiful spa and fitness areas. The fitness center had loads of equipment and rarely had anyone in it. Everything was top-of-the-line from the weight machines to the toiletries in the changing rooms. There’s both steam rooms and dry saunas as well.
I went for a 90-min Asian Heritage Massage Treatment at the award-winning Fullerton Spa which you can read about in a separate article. I loved the spa and the treatment!
On the top of The Fullerton Hotel is The Lighthouse Restaurant and Bar. Read about the evening in this article. While visiting I enjoyed a nearly flawless dégustation menu. The restaurant’s dining room has an absolutely stunning view of Marina Bay. Our server Rey was a true professional and offered great hospitality during the entire visit. I’d highly recommend a window seat! A floor above the restaurant is the bar, which is open air which added to the ambiance.
One of the top features of this property is the pool. This breathtaking pool has a perfect sunset view every single night. Stunning!
The Fullerton Hotel Singapore is truly a landmark property. I was happy that the property beat many of my expectations, and in the end, I had a flawless stay. Most of the staff were great to deal with, but there were two outstanding employees that the hotel is very lucky to have, Rey from The Lighthouse Restaurant and Bar and Placidus from The Straits Club. These types of staff members make a good hotel a great hotel. The Fullerton Hotel Singapore is a superior luxury hotel in all regards, and I would highly recommend a visit!
