Sitting atop the beautiful Fullerton Hotel Singapore is The Lighthouse Restaurant and Bar. First things first, I had an absolutely fantastic hotel stay at The Fullerton Singapore, which you must read about in a separate article here. The restaurant serves Italian Cuisine, and for the dinner, I went for the Degustation Menu with a bottle of wine. The menu consisted of five courses, and I was excited to get started!
If you visit The Lighthouse, I would highly recommend you get a window seat because just look at this view! If you sit next to the window, it’s basically just you and the Marina Bay separated by only a plate of glass. Lucky for me there was a beautiful sunset that I got to enjoy with a new friend, the 2015 Monte del Fra ‘Tenuta Lena di Mezzo’ Valpolicella Classico Superiore Ripasso, Veneto, Italy. I’ll be the first to share that I’m generally not a huge fan of Italian wine, but this was a wine I fell in love with! Nice rich and full-bodied, just my style!
Nearly all of the items from the evening were incredibly tasty, but specifically my favorites were the seafood soup, open raviolo, roasted rack of lamb, and the pure perfection that was the dessert. I loved the balance and variety of the courses. The light seafood soup and then the heavier open raviolo recipe of the chef’s grandmother. Great to have this balance to keep my mouth guessing what was coming next!
The Lemon Delight at the end was the perfect finish to a very lovely evening. Served with a glass of Lemoncello, this dessert has several textures and flavors to bounce off of. Perfection!
The evening at The Lighthouse Restaurant was lovely, on all fronts. The service by Assistant Restaurant Manager Rey throughout the evening was impeccable! He was very personable and not too in-your-face. There was only one dish that I wasn’t a huge fan of. Without a doubt, I can recommend The Lighthouse Restaurant and Bar sitting atop The Fullerton Hotel Singapore!
