My trip to the Radisson Blu in Prague was full of pleasant surprises. I guess this is also the summary of my life. Wink. I only stayed at one hotel while in Prague and I must say that I very much enjoyed the food quality. Who would have guessed that one Radisson Blu could offer so much great food! Pierre was skipping around with a happy tummy.
Make sure you read about my stay at the Radisson Blu in Prague in this article. Years in the future what I will remember about Prague will be all of my fantastic dining experiences. The first full day in Prague I decided to eat lunch with my friend at their Michelin starred restaurant called Alcron. I’m ordering you to read the review here!
The following day we had dinner at La Rotando which is about 5 meters from Alcron. You’re not seeing double, this is also where the hotel breakfast is served. However, during the evening the atmosphere completely changes. All of a sudden you are transferred to a mystical fine dining experience.
During our meal we were offered a plethora of wonderful Czech wines. They all made nice additions to the food that was served. I had no idea before coming to Prague that they had such great wines! Fantastic.
People are often amazed that I can remember the specifics about my meals and hotel stays months and years after they occur. For some reason my memory is driven mostly by my taste buds. Just thinking about this food now is making all of the flavors and textures come right back to me.
There were two items that stood out in this meal. First was the very heartwarming pasta dish. Second had to be the phenomenal dessert. It took us a few moments to figure out the English name of the fruit which turned out to be a Kumquat and was quite amazing.
In conclusion, walking into the dining room where I had previously ate breakfast I had no idea what to expect. Upon further investigation and tasting I was so incredibly satisfied. The dining room filled up and the service was impeccable. The food was on point and they paired the dishes excellently with the wine. If you’re looking for some great fine dining in Prague you can find 2 solid restaurants at the Radisson Blu. Be my guest, put their service to the test!
