I came to Prague after my time in Frankfurt, Germany. Prague was a destination that I had held very high on my bucket list. That’s why I had super high expectations for my time there. Generally, it’s not the best idea to set your expectations too high because you might get crushed. However, all in all, my time in the Czech Republic was very enjoyable and I honestly think that I need to spend more time there exploring. I can foresee another trip in the not so distant future. Wink wink.

I arrived in Prague in the middle of the night and really had no idea exactly where the Radisson Blu hotel was except for the subway station name. Not only did I not know exactly where it was but I got off at the wrong station so I was wandering around for a while. However, I was in no rush and wanted to explore so this was just fine. Shout out to McDonald’s because I was able to pick up some free Wi-Fi which helped me find the hotel. The hotel is actually in a very convenient location and perfect for exploring the city!
Once I made it to the hotel I was greeted by a very warm and welcoming staff who were of course expecting me. They confirmed all of my details and I was shown to my room to retire after my strenuous travels. The hotel is not the newest of hotels but the quality of service and offerings that they have were very inline with other high-end luxury hotels. That being said the room had a little bit of a dated feel but it was still nice and I enjoyed my time there.
I have a good friend who is Czech and he introduced me to Becherovka which is an herbal bitters. To my astonishment when I got into my room the staff had prepared a bottle and some Czech sweets for me. I was starving after my flight and ready to eat just about anything so these probably saved my life. Thank you Radisson Blu.
I know I know, I probably should have wandered around more during my first night there but I was just so exhausted that I wanted to go to sleep. The next day I made my way down to the gym to enjoy a great workout. Something special that I noticed in their gym was flavored water. In all of the hotels I’ve stayed at they never offered it like this. Cheers! There were different pitchers of water but all had different fruits and herbs flavoring the water. It was so refreshing after my workout.
Back up to the room to get cleaned up and ready for breakfast. I made my way down to La Rotonde restaurant for breakfast. The styling is classic and fits Pierre perfectly. I had a dinner there that you’ll have to read about in a separate article. White linens and great service are basically the key takeaways of this place. I was really impressed with the size of their buffet and the quality of the food. Honestly, I did not expect for it all to be so great! Luckily, I had more than one night to enjoy the Radisson Blu and all of the food!
When it’s all said and done and as you can probably tell by now, I really enjoyed myself in Prague and specifically at this hotel. I would be happy to return in the future! Prague really has a nice charm to it. The people and the experiences that I had while there were nothing less than great! If you are looking for a great location to explore the city along with great service and wonderful food I would not hesitate to recommend you to stay at the Radisson Blu Prague.
