Radisson Blu Hotel Podil Review: Explore Kyiv From its Historical Center

Last updated on April 24th, 2025

In Kyiv, Ukraine there are actually multiple Radisson Blu Hotels. During my maiden voyage to this interesting country, I had the pleasure of visiting both. First was Radisson Blu Hotel Kyiv Podil which is in the city’s historical center. The surrounding architecture offers a gorgeous historical charm.

Upon entering the Radisson Blu Hotel Kyiv Podil I noticed the spacious lobby with its contemporary design. I was pleased that I was greeted by friendly staff at the front door and guided to the reception desk. The check-in process was smooth and I was quickly on my way to see my room on the fifth floor.

My room was comfortable and in a smart business style. Looking out of the window I could see the quaint architecture all around, and the clean and quiet street below. It was a very peaceful atmosphere around the hotel as a lot of it is a walking street. Although the bed looked quite standard from the onset, it was actually incredibly comfortable and I slept great throughout my entire stay. I appreciated the desk area and chair for working on this very blog!

Below the TV was a kettle accompanied with instant coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, a pleasant surprise.

The bathroom was modern and clean and its design. The toiletries smelled great and the bathroom had a single shower stall.

On the ground floor of the Radisson Blu Hotel Kyiv Podil is where the breakfast is served, in Café 17. There was a very generous offering at the breakfast, including lots of regional items. For being such a large buffet, I was happy to find out that there was also an à la carte menu included in the breakfast. I very much enjoyed my cheese and mushroom omelette! It has been great to witness that Radisson Blu has always been a very consistent brand when it comes to offering incredibly high-quality breakfast options (nobody is paying me to say that.) I can’t remember a Radisson Blu that didn’t have a breakfast that really excited me! Also, the staff at breakfast were very attentive and quick to turn around tables and provide friendly service when needed.

On the second floor of the Radisson Blu Hotel Kyiv Podil is the fitness center. The fitness center is a medium-size gym with lots of cardio equipment and a decent selection of free weights. The gym has no attendant and stays pretty quiet. All of the equipment was modern and very nice for my workout. There are no steam rooms, pools, or saunas.

My stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel Kyiv Podil went very well. It’s nice that the Radisson Blu Brand has been so consistent and I can know what to expect from property to property. The breakfast was truly memorable and the location is really hard to beat if you’re looking to explore Kyiv. Without a doubt I can highly recommend a stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel Kyiv Podil.
