For my final dinner in Kyiv, Ukraine, I went for a very extravagant seafood dinner at RYBALOVE Restaurant (the name translates to Fish Love in English.) This is located in the old town on a very charming street. The interior of RYBALOVE was fairly relaxed and offered a friendly atmosphere for guests.
For the evening, I focused on quality over quantity. Our friendly server had some suggestions but when I saw the Large Seafood Platter on the menu, I knew what I wanted! The large platter came with 6 White pearl #2 oysters, 150g of whelks, 150g of white leg shrimp, a whole steamed Chix lobster, 200g of king crab claws, raspberry-onion sauce, and aioli.
Out of the items on the platter, the oysters had to be my favorite! These white pearl oysters were one of the more expensive oysters on the menu, but they were definitely worth it. In a close second place were the shrimp, my mouth is watering just thinking about them again! I was pleased to find out that they sourced their seafood from top producers worldwide.
Once I made my way through the large seafood platter, it was time for dessert. There were two items on the menu that caught my eye which included the panna cotta and fig mille-feuille. Both were very good but the fig mille-feuille was something straight from food paradise! I would be happy to come back to RYBALOVE Restaurant again only for this dessert, it was just that amazing. The presentation was a little bit unconventional, but the flavor was simply to die for! A must try.
Overall, the meal at RYBALOVE Restaurant was quite good. The staff were very attentive which was much appreciated. As mentioned, some of the side dishes could’ve used a little bit of improvement but the main focus, which was seafood, was lovely. If you want to treat yourself to some seafood while in Kyiv, Ukraine, look no further than the RYBALOVE Restaurant.
