It’s been years since my first trip to Rome, Italy and I was excited to return. It all started with arriving at the airport and finding my driver from the Sheraton hotel holding a sign with my name on it!

Is there anything better than an airport transfer in a luxury automobile? The answer is simply no. This was definitely a great way to get from the airport to the Sheraton Roma Hotel & Conference Center. If you have a chance, you should take advantage of their service as well! I arrived to the hotel in about 20 minutes from the airport. The hotel is situated on the edge of the metropolitan area and about a 10 minute walk from the nearest metro station, EUR Magliana.

To be honest, I was quite refreshed to return to a Sheraton hotel. Right away I felt the comfort of being home when I entered the property and was greeted by the staff. I went to the standard check-in desk only to realize that I needed to check in at the Sheraton club lounge. The club lounge is on the six floor where my room was also.

Not long after checking in, and I found myself being escorted to my suite. They sure know how to impress me. I received a suite that was larger than most people’s apartments. The suite was massive and had so much to offer. The first part I noticed, was of course the cured meats on the table with a nice bottle of wine. Cheers Sheraton!

The wine was sitting on the dining room table which is separated from the rest of the living room. Just next to the table, you’ll also find a beautiful coffee machine as well as a tea station. They made sure that I got my caffeine fix one way or another, which I appreciated!

Moving further into the suite, you’ll find a large living room, with lots of seating. This is a comfortable place to unwind and quite aesthetically pleasing as well.

The bedroom is of course separated from the rest of the suite and is equally as massive as the dining room and living room spaces. In the bedroom, you’ll find yet another seating area with coffee table. Next you’ll find the TV and finally a very comfortable bed. Sliding into the sheets made me feel right at home.

The master bathroom was equally as impressive as the room. It was also large like living space and offered a full sized bathtub and a separate shower stall. This really put me in a good mood, as I love the beautiful bathroom. There were a plethora of soaps and lotions.

I almost forgot to mention there was also a half-bathroom near the main entrance!

The Sheraton club lounge allows you to enjoy a continental breakfast, afternoon tea or coffee and of course, evening hors d’oeuvres and apéritifs. What I especially liked about the lounge is the fact that there were two rooftop terraces. One has a lot more greenery and the other offers a vast area. All in all, great service in the Sheraton club lounge in Rome!

Of course from all those calories you’re going to consume in Rome, you’ll want a good way to burn them off! The Sheraton definitely comes through with a great gym. The gym is equipped with everything, and I mean everything. Many treadmills and other cardio equipment ensure that everyone gets something they want. They also have a wide selection of free weights. I can’t forget to talk about the hotel’s massive outdoor pool. The pool is very grand and also the location of their poolside restaurant called AQVI.

You’ll be able to enjoy breakfast in either the club lounge or the ground floor at the poolside restaurant. I went for the ground floor route, to get more protein options. Here you’ll find all of your standard Western breakfast options and more. There were little details that let you know you are in Rome like the mozzarella and the olive oil selection. Great touch Sheraton.

When it was all over, this was a hotel experience that I could truly enjoy. The stay was smooth as silk. The service was wonderful, the food at breakfast and during the evening was splendid. I always felt great and very welcomed. It is a little bit off the beaten path but still makes a great hotel. This is all why I can recommend the Sheraton Roma Hotel & Conference Center!
