Another property that I experienced while in Athens was The Y Hotel. The hotel is located on the outskirts of the city. I’d imagine that most would stay here when they had business or activities in the Kifissia area. It is easily accessible from the city center, just get off at the Kifissia station of the metro.

After arriving in the evening, I headed up to my room to see what I had to work with. On the way there I noticed the beautiful style of the elevator. Everything in the hotel was fairly new, and this excited Pierre. The room was painted green and all went together well. Comfortable bedding insured a quality night’s sleep!
The room even had a balcony with chairs and a table which made it easy to enjoy the outdoors.
In the basement of The Y Hotel, there was a fitness center. I was quite impressed with the quality of the equipment. There were two treadmills, a weight machine as well as free weights. It provided a great place to workout and I was really happy with the layout.
I was very excited after my workout for breakfast! Breakfast is located just off of the lobby in their café. I was impressed with the breakfast selection. There were tons of international and local Greek dishes to choose from. I especially loved the spinach pie, the bacon and feta cheese. Of course!
The service throughout my stay was very enjoyable. For example, when I called for an iron and ironing board, I received it within minutes. They also offered a very smooth check in and check out process. I was pleased that the hotel was located in higher-end area with lots of shops and restaurants. All in all, The Y Hotel is a solid and brings a lot of value to the table!
