When it comes to my time at the Ritz Carlton Vienna I have to say my favorite part of the experience would be at the steakhouse. This was absolutely the best way to welcome Pierre to the hotel. We can start off by noting that the Dstrikt Steakhouse is located right along the ring street and offers indoor and outdoor seating. Of course you can sit inside but the weather was so great that we were able to enjoy our meal outside while taking in the sights and sounds of Vienna.
The meal started with a few appetizers including some fresh mozzarella, onion rings and a shrimp salad. All were exquisite and I enjoyed them very much. Of course I was at a steakhouse so I had to order lots and lots of meat. Just choosing one cut of meat was too difficult so I decided to order multiple so I could really get a feel for the restaurant. I’m very particular about the steak that I eat but I have to say that each type was fantastic and I wouldn’t hesitate to choose any of the steak selections on the menu.
The presentation was very appetizing as well. They brought out the steak on a wood platter and it was very extravagant. It wasn’t complicated but did its job at getting me excited! Along with the giant wood platter they poured our wine from a ginormous wine bottle. This was a bit excessive but Pierre will allow it.
When I didn’t think I could possibly eat one more bite I had the realization that dessert was just around the corner. It made it a lot easier to force down because it was an absolutely delicious cheesecake. Of course you need a nice shot of espresso to accompany your sweets.
All in all, the Dstrikt Steakhouse in Vienna is a wonderful establishment and very highly ranked and now I certainly can see why. Sometimes high ratings online aren’t accurate but this was definitely worth it. They deserve all of the praise that they get because they truly offer some magnificent food. The next time I’m in Vienna I would love to go back! Bon appetite!
