Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel Review (Singapore)

Last updated on February 5th, 2025

During some of my last nights in Singapore, I stayed at the Marriott Tang Plaza hotel. Out of all of the properties I visited, the Marriott was definitely in the best location. It’s connected to the Orchard MRT station. Talk about convenience!

You’ll also notice the interesting design of the hotel from the outside. It’s very unique to the area and has a traditional Chinese style which makes it super easy to find.

Walking into the hotel, you’ll enter a large lobby with very high ceilings. The staff at the reception were very personable and checked me in quickly while building a good rapport. They even escorted me up to show me the room. How kind. Once inside, I was shocked with how many treats were waiting for me. The room was quite gorgeous. The bathroom had an impressive and contemporary design. To top it all off, the room had a great view of Orchard Street below.

The hotel had recently undergone an update and where this was very apparent was in their executive lounge on the 27th floor. We need to first note that this lounge is gigantic. There’s so much open space but completely fills up with people, especially during breakfast and cocktail hour. The cocktail hour is multiple hours, quite incredible really. Get ready to get your drink on for about four hours.

Another great feature about the lounge was the variety of food. At both breakfast and in the evening, they had tons of different food to choose from. All of it was very high-quality and I enjoyed it very much. Pierre approves.

A key feature about this hotel would be the very large pool on the roof top. This area has recently been updated like the rest of the hotel. They have three large cabanas which you can use to relax.

The gym is also large and overlooks their basketball court. Inside the gym you will find a large amount of equipment. No shortages here folks. Once you’re done getting ripped in the gym, you can relax in the locker room/relaxation areas. This area is quite nice with a jacuzzi, steam room and of course a dry sauna.

One of the days that I was there, I also enjoyed a lunch at their Pool Grill restaurant. Even though the weather was hot, I was able to keep cool under a giant fan. The fan is powered by an airplane motor! Cool as a cucumber! Pro tip: get the truffle fries. Overall, the meal was nice and the atmosphere was exceptional.
