I must admit that I do enjoy a nice Hyatt. This time around, it was the Grand Hyatt in Singapore. The hotel has a stones throw away from Orchard MRT station. I’m not joking folks! I could throw a small Boulder and hit the station. Those that know Singapore, know that this is a great location.

The hotel definitely has a business sense to it. They use lots of wood in their design which makes me feel warm and cozy. After an easy check in process, I headed up to my room on the 16th floor to see what I had in store. The suite felt like it came right out of a design magazine. Sure, that design magazine might be a few years old but I definitely enjoyed it.
I actually want to take note of the bedding because it was extra comfortable. The room also offered a large wardrobe which is great for me because I have so many things. Wink.
After getting comfortable and working for a bit, I got myself together and headed up to see what was going on in the club lounge. I definitely didn’t expect it to be so huge and have so many people. Clearly, the other guests were enjoying their time at the lounge as well. There was a wide variety of beverages offered. They also had some tasty dishes like meatballs and a selection of delightful sushi!
The next morning, I woke up early to burn off all of that food I ate in the lounge. I was staying in the tower that didn’t contain the pool or gym so I had to do a little adventuring to find them. Turns out, they’re located in the other tower. On my way to the gym, I passed by the pool and was impressed. It was very large and had lots of comfortable relaxation areas.
Arriving at the gym I found lots of guests getting ripped just like me. I went for my normal run and then did tons of body-weight exercises. This is how I stay in god-like condition folks. Wink.
So far, my expectations and everything was going as per usual. However, the next morning at breakfast, I was very pleasantly surprised. To my astonishment, there was a large skillet of corned beef hash, prepared American-style! This is one of those dishes you just don’t find in that many places. I got a huge plate and covered it in Tabasco sauce. After I gobbled up the first one, I headed back for round two. Dear Lord this was a godsend!
All day, the lounge offers refreshments. Of course, in the afternoon you can get your coffee or tea and a few extra snacks. I was able to get some work done there and enjoy a nice piece of carrot cake as well.
Overall, the stay was exceptional. In the design department, there is room for an update. However, if you’re familiar with the typical Grand Hyatt style, you’ll feel right at home in Singapore. I definitely enjoyed myself. It was amazing to have the American style corned beef hash, comfort of the beautiful lounge and the warm staff. There is nothing keeping me from recommending you to stay at the Grand Hyatt in Singapore. Enjoy!
