I’ll start by saying that I mainly came to Beirut simply because I’m a huge fan of Lebanese food. The last hotel I stayed at was the Movenpick Hotel and Resort and they have the Burj El Hamam restaurant on the top floor. I actually didn’t expect to eat there but I was offered a meal and of course Pierre will not decline and amazing Lebanese lunch. I was starting to get a little sad that I was leaving Lebanon. Tear.
Luckily this meal took me away from my sadness and brought complete and utter happiness to my existence. It was simply plate after plate after plate of amazing tastes. There is a huge dining room. It is a very popular restaurant among locals and if you’re looking for that classic Lebanese fix this is the place to go. It’s a bit of an upper scale feel which goes right along with my lifestyle. Wink.
We were just eating the mezza which is actually just the cold dishes that are basically Lebanese appetizers. However, there were so many dishes that I was curious if we were going to actually have bigger entrées. So after I filled up quite a bit on the mezza I asked if there was going to be more food and the answer to my astonishment was yes. Loosen your belts folks.
This entire meal was fit for a king. Luckily I was there. Just the abundance of food and flavors was immense. I truly loved everything I ate and it was a huge bonus to have this meal as one of my last in Beirut. All of the service was on point, friendly and informative.
After all the main dishes it was on to dessert. Plenty to choose from. I fell in love a few times during this meal.
If you like Lebanese food which I would hope that you do then I’m sure you’ll enjoy your time at the restaurant. Overall, everything was perfect so I will have to give Burj El Hamam a very strong recommendation. Do yourself a favor and go feast on this amazing food!
