In Beirut I didn’t realize how beautiful the sea could be until I stayed at the Movenpick hotel and resort. I was in Beirut for a total of 10 days and was so happy to experience the sea. Being able to watch the sunset over the water was simply magnificent. I was sort of torn between my emotions because it was so beautiful and I was so happy to be there but also quite sad because I knew that this was the last few days of my tour before I left Lebanon.

So as you can figure out by now the Movenpick hotel is located near the center of the city but along the sea. I would have to say that the best part of this hotel would be the location. Seriously, look at how beautiful the view is!
Normally, when you arrive in a hotel you get your key and go up to your room but in this hotel it’s the opposite. Instead of going up you actually go down to your room. For some reason this concept is just interesting to me but it’s because of the way the hotel is built with the lobby on the top floor. I got into my room and immediately rushed over to the sliding door and opened it to let in a warm and relaxing breeze. I drifted away and just appreciated where I was. Magical.
When I came back to the moment I took a look around the room. The first thing I noticed were all of the sweets that they had left me. Dear lord! There was a box, a bridge and another long tray of chocolates and sweets. Don’t they know that I’m already getting fat?
That being said, I just couldn’t resist I had to try them and it was like they were sent down from the heavens. Oh my word was everything fantastic. Not to mention that they also left me with a bottle of Lebanese wine to make me feel loved.
The room wasn’t filled with frills but did have a classic warm feel to it. The major pull of this hotel must be the location. It’s like a little getaway right inside of Beirut.
I got to spend two nights at this hotel which allowed me to eat breakfast two times. I think I would’ve had to time it a little bit better to get the window seats but it was still a pleasant view from my table. It was buffet style but they had staff walking around asking you if you needed anything.
During my days I ended up meeting up with some friends and exploring the city. Once I had some more free time I was able to get a great workout in their amazing gym. All of the cardio equipment is set up in a circular fashion so you can really get your people watching on. They have so much weightlifting equipment so it’s really great for getting ripped.
Outdoor they have a giant lap pool. I didn’t have time for swimming when I was there which is kind of unfortunate but from my room it was a beautiful sight to see.
It was almost like I blinked my eyes and it was time to leave. Ten days in Beirut went by so quickly but I enjoyed every moment to the fullest. The Movenpick Hotel and Resort was the absolute perfect way to end the trip. It’s amazing that you can spend time in this resort and even though you’re in a city you feel like you’re on a beach far away. If I lived in Beirut I think it would be a great idea to get a membership at the gym so you can escape there whenever you’d like. If you have a chance I would definitely recommend you have a stay at the Movenpick Beirut and see for yourself how magnificent it is!
