Fairmont Singapore Hotel Review

Last updated on February 13th, 2025

This year I’ve been able to stay at three Fairmont hotels. The first was in Toronto, the second in Barcelona and now the third in Singapore. The Fairmont Singapore is located at the City Hall MRT station. If you know Singapore, you know that this is in the center of the action. There’s a lot going on in this area and it’s a great starting point to stay to explore the city.

After meeting the staff at check-in, I headed up to the 20th floor to see my large room. The Fairmont Singapore sticks to a fairly business-oriented design. There was lots of gray scale with accents of purple for the interior. My room was large, and with two balconies offered great views of the Marina Bay and the hotel’s pool. I really enjoyed how spacious the room was. Also, thanks for the bottle of wine Fairmont!

Moving into the bathroom, you’ll find marble from the floor to the ceiling, which Pierre is a fan of. A large bathtub and a large shower stall. It may sound kind of funny, but I really appreciate it when hotels use slow closing toilet seats, good choice Fairmont.

Going down to the six floor, you’ll find the hotel’s shared gym and spa with the Swissotel. They have lots of equipment to go around. I only found myself having to share a machine one time. Inside the changing rooms, all guests have access to a large relaxation facility, including a steam room, sauna and multiple hot tubs for your convenience. They do not provide bathrobes, nor slippers to take back to your room. Putting back on dirty workout clothes after a shower is never fun.

The first morning’s breakfast I ate in their Prego restaurant on the lobby level. I was fortunate enough to enjoy a dinner at the restaurant the night before, which you can read about in a separate article. The breakfast was quite extensive and jammed full of guests. There was so much selection, I ended up eating things I didn’t normally get to try, like Indian food for breakfast, which I was obviously very excited about! Tons of things to keep everyone happy. Also, the Fairmont has another option for breakfast next to their pool.

Overall, I must say that considering all of the Fairmont’s features, I enjoyed my stay. The service, the quality of food and the location make this a fantastic hotel to stay at and therefore I can recommend you to stay at the Fairmont hotel in Singapore.
